Shamanic Lands 3 – The Energy of Dragons

Shamanic Lands 3 – The Energy of Dragons
Dragons, Other reports, Theory

This is part one of two posts describing the information that Dr.Patrick MacManaway presented at Shamanic Lands this year. I took so many notes that I could barely keep up and I had to take several photos of the screens because there was so much information on them! It was by no means a “dry” … Read More “Shamanic Lands 3 – The Energy of Dragons” »

Revealing the Rowan Tree

Hedge Druidry, Tarot, Trees, Wheel of the Year

Nature has a way of rebounding things on you in a kind of cosmic joke. I had just run out of posts and was wondering what I could write about next. Spring Equinox is still a way off (this post written on the 14th Feb), and outings will be rare due to the extreme weather … Read More “Revealing the Rowan Tree” »

Circle of Dragons and Druids

Posted on June 14, 2013 By Gwas No Comments on Circle of Dragons and Druids
Ancient Sites, Dragons

After my experience getting to know my spirit guide at Penmaenawr‘s famous Druid’s Circle I met up once more with Kal who had been off having his own adventures, as usual. It seems that whenever we come to this sacred stone circle there are revelations, ruminations and investigations aplenty. It never fails to deliver something special.

As Kal returned I pointed out to him that I had been working at a particular stone this evening. Kal said it was one he remembered because he associated it with his experience of a dragon at this circle. In fact, he said, it was where some dragon energy resided. Now, we’ll come back to the definition of a “dragon” in a moment. Let’s stay with the story for now.

Kal mentioned that when he was doing some dowsing around this very stone after I had moved away from it earlier. He had asked the question of his dowsing rods about where the strongest energy could be found, and had been taken to the very spot I had been standing at. Now, one could read that as a very flattering statement, or one could begin to question whether something else was also contributing to that energy signature and strength.

I began to put two together with another two. I had come here to learn more about the nature of my spirit guide, and perhaps I was about to find out more than I had bargained for.

Energy Attractors and Disruptors

Posted on June 9, 2013June 9, 2013 By Gwas No Comments on Energy Attractors and Disruptors
Energy grid, Theory

I was working at The Druid’s Circle above Penmaenmawr in North Wales, and Kal was there too. The twilight hours were upon us. I had only one directive this evening, and that was to find out more about my work with my spirit guide Ash. We have a mutual relationship. I know from a tarot reading that … Read More “Energy Attractors and Disruptors” »

Beltane 2013 Pt2 – Wilderness and Laughter

Posted on May 12, 2013May 12, 2013 By Gwas No Comments on Beltane 2013 Pt2 – Wilderness and Laughter
Ancient Sites, Dowsing, Energy work, Hedge Druidry, Telluric, Wheel of the Year

I had deliberately kept the number of site visits low for Beltane. The daylight hours are still short, the distance we had to travel to get there was sufficient to drain away the day, and I wanted to be able to feel ‘unhurried’ when we got to a site. Almost as if enhancing this mood I had parked at The Broad Oak pub car park in the village of Strelley. It took us ten minutes to walk to Catstone Hill, and really it would have been easier to park right on the corner of the road just before the main village where there was ample parking, and the distance would have been more than halved. Such is life!

That wasn’t the end of our woes finding the site. Intuitively, and with only the barest map navigation, we found our way on to the hill. We inspected the broad flat plateau but couldn’t find any “capstones” for burial chambers. Were they hidden by the brambles and gorse? We tried to find more accurate maps on our phones but failed, so we resorted to dowsing rods. The rods pointed us out in the direction of a ploughed field. Our rationality kicked in and caused us confusion. We split up and went searching. Eventually I found the right place. It was at the end of the ploughed field and off the plateau behind a line of trees. The M1 motorway was is view below. Nice! Being off the main plateau was why we hadn’t seen it. We also realised there was a much easier way in if we’d only taken the steep tracks up the hill instead of following the main path. Once you know, you know – hindsight is clear.

We inspected the area around the capstones. No entry into these chambers, if ever there was any. They were silted up to the brim now. Disappointment began to set in. We stumbled around tripping over the tangle of briars and bramble thorns, the thick dead grass and the outcropping tangle of shrub branches. Our sense of frustration was compounded when we discovered that the site had no energy signature either. There were no earth energies running through the site at all. The disappointment grew. Should we turn away and go somewhere else?

The Bridestones – a new healing centre

Posted on August 10, 2011August 10, 2011 By Gwas 3 Comments on The Bridestones – a new healing centre
Ancient Sites, Dowsing, Energy work, Healing, Hedge Druidry, Natural Magick, Spirits

In this post I am going to tell you about the single most powerful and fascinating true story of some work I did with a healer friend as we worked on resolving a long-standing energy problem at a sacred site in Cheshire. Every word is true and as it happened. I think you will find it a good example of earth energy healing, a telepathic incident, and also a curious tale of an encounter with a dark energy form.

I have talked many times with my friend Michael about energy healing. Sometimes he talks about me getting involved in healing, with the presumption that this means people. Sometimes I talk to him about healing, with the presumption that I mean earth energy healing. Sometimes we are on the same wavelength. One evening I went to see Michael in Congleton and I felt like it was the culmination of a series of events that were bringing our wavelengths together.

Michael barely had time to say hello before I was asking whether he could accompany me on a special journey to a local site. He didn’t need much persuading, and in a few moments we were heading off to The Bridestones – a site that Michael lives close to but which he had never visited close up (he has passed by on many occasions). He said he never felt that there was anything there for him to go for. I understood that feeling, for it is exactly the same feeling that Kal has about the site – a distaste for it.

As we drove the few miles out of town I explained how I had come to choose this site. I had been doing a tarot reading about where I should take my healing work and it had suggested I would work with someone who was already skilled in healing. Well, I only knew one person who fitted that bill! Then the cards suggested earth energy healing, and I began to wonder where Michael would fit into this particular picture, as he was a healer of people. He responded that actually he had been receiving information telling him that he would be doing more earth energy healing soon. Looks like I turned up at the right point then?

Finally, I explained how I had found the site by dowsing questions. After going through a list of “North/South of Britain”, “East/West”, type of questioning I began to narrow it down to specific counties, and then I could begin to narrow the search down by asking whether it’s a site I have visited before. When the answer came back that it was a known site I only had to go through a list of the sites in that county, and soon I had my answer –  The Bridestones. I knew instantly that the choice of Michael by the tarot cards was perfect – he had local knowledge, and healing abilities. It was a perfect match and it felt right.

So, we visited The Bridestones on a sunny evening in late July, just as the sun was moving towards the horizon and the shadows growing long. Here is the tale of our epic work at this site.

Tyfos 2011 – The Battle of Sun and Moon

Ancient Sites, Dowsing, Energy work

On our Llangollen day out the furthest point away from home was close to one of our favourite circles, Moel-Ty-Uchaf, but this day we were not going to climb up the incredibly steep track to that circle. This day we were parking mere feet away from the entrance to the circle called Tyfos. The Legend … Read More “Tyfos 2011 – The Battle of Sun and Moon” »
