We were early, by a long chalk. Having rested and supped for the evening we had set out to continue our pilgrimage within the Vale of Kilmartin. Our goal was the sacred site known as the Moon Temple. We were also lucky in that the Moon had been full only the day before and thus … Read More “Moon kissed Earth – Lammas 6” »

Our climb up to Dinas Emrys had been an unexpected surprise and not a good one. That tale of test is told here. However as we reached the base of the hill that is Dinas Emrys, I heard and then saw a bee buzz by. If you read this post from last year. In fact … Read More “Dinas Emrys part 2 Bees, Crows, Fay and the Wand Ingredients” »

Moel Ty Uchaf and an ingredient for the wand

Llandrillo or Moel Ty Uchaf stone circle is one of the best (energetically speaking) ones that we have visited. However our visits to it are sparse because of the humongous climb to get to it. It’s a challenge to even put it on the agenda. However it had called to me a few days ago and although I’m not in peak physical condition I relented and suggested it to Chris. He of course agreed immediately since it would be an ideal place for a quest that he is on.

Memories of the three stage climb returned to me as I got out of the car. Here we go again I thought. It had been at least three years since I had made the journey up this mountain and I had been a lot fitter then. Still, needs must, so I took up my pack and off we went.

One of the things that has now become standard operating procedure for me is to have an intuitive feel around a place I am visiting for some helpful energy/beings. As we set off, I did this and got an immediate connect to the Genius Loci of the sacred place on high. I got a vision of drawing up energy from the earth and using that to replenish mine as it was used up in physical exertions. Thus as I walked I visualised buckets of energy (as if from a well) rising up out of the earth and filling me up.

Books, Quests, Signs and Synchronicity, Wand

Okay, I have been on some strange quests to be sure and the journey that each quest has taken me on has been more challenging than the previous. You kind of wonder where all this is leading, but as my previous post talked about, sometimes you are stuck with the Uncertainty Principle. One of the … Read More “Elif Shafak, an ingredient and sufism” »

Visions of a magician at the Wizards Wood

The night and early morning had been spent in the land of the mystics. Opening the gates of the heart using Zikr and Sema. The result was a good day of sleep, but this then meant an evening of wakefulness. When I awoke from my slumber around 4 in the afternoon I had a yearning … Read More “Visions of a magician at the Wizards Wood” »

Presumed missing…

Presumed missing…
Quests, Wand

Oh dear, it happens doesn’t it. Life of the mundane kind gets in the way and when it does we have to pay the sacred paths pied piper. Fortunately (or not) for us, we have this blog to point out our missed opportunities. As you know, in my life one thing has been begging for … Read More “Presumed missing…” »

When you walk with the Fay…
Faery, Quests, Wand

You will find the Fay in the most unusual of places. Not surprising really. In this instance we were out amongst the wilds of Wales when we drove by a sacred mound. You can just tell. It had magic written all over it. Of course the name was a bit of a give away too… … Read More “When you walk with the Fay…” »
