I read in Glennie Kindred‘s “Sacred Celebrations” book that MidWinter Solstice was a good time to be around people you love, enjoying their company, and staying up as late as possible.
Well, in that case I can happily report that thanks to the joyful Celtic drinking songs of The Family Mahone, that’s exactly what we all did. We had gathered our favourite friends of a similar mind together, and I managed to combine that with having my oldest friends (Kal excepted) from my band Benzene Vapours there too.
And we had a great time at Telford’s Warehouse in Chester last night. The air was full of song, everyone danced, and the night air was unseasonably warm.
Hope all your celebrations went as well as ours! Happy Solstice!
