(1) For a good while now I have been wanting to go to New York. I know what your thinking…What’s a hedge druid doing going to the city that never sleeps. My only answer is that I’m a Edge Wizard and thus don’t have to comply with any hedge druidic regulations (if indeed there are any)
So, as I said I’ve been wanting to go there for a good while and seeing as my current contract of work is ending at the end of April my thoughts were along the lines of early May (after Beltane). My issues with going where that it was an expensive trip both in flight and hotel cost. And although I’m self-indulgent enough to pay that amount of money on a personal trip I would rather it be paid towards going someplace more sacrede.g. Machu Pichu or the Pyramids of Egypt (current news story accepting). This in mind I had been balking at the idea of booking tickets etc.
(2) As you may know I am just on the cusp of completing my book, Active Enlightenment (plug intended) and one of my top 3 desires (see Kal’s 3 Goals) is to get it published by the number one personal development publishing house, namely Hay House. Of course I could go to there website and submit it however, frankly where is the fun in that? So i’m always looking for ways and means to achieve this goal.
(3) I have already written about my experience with St Helen at her well and how she had described how I needed to collect Nine Blue Keys, which I was to present to Cailleach later in the year.
The tale
As it happened last night a friend sent me a link to an authors workshop in New York which was sponsored by Hay House (having a few authors and an editor attending too). The cost of this event was a staggering $450 for a couple of days and that didn’t include the hotel stay.
I sat by google.com working out dollars to pounds as well as flight costs and hotel etc and once complete, sat back and pondered…it was a large sum of money that had presented itself before me. Was it all worth it my thoughts were wondering?
Distinctly I recall staring blankly at the order page, my thoughts else where. Then as my focus returned my gaze fell on the advert in front of me and slowly it dawned…surely it couldn’t be? Could it? That simple? I jumped up and grabbed my dowsing rods…
Was this one of the blue keys?
The answer came back as a undeniable YES. Two minutes later I had booked a place on the workshop.
