Gwas is the reasonably patient one and the one who is more in tune with the flow of things than I am. Me, I’m a fighter. I spend (waste) my time fighting against the natural order of things. Take winter times, the traditional times of rest and recuperation. I’m off out and about trying to wake up the energies before their time. So finally we have reached Imbolc and the world awakens!
It had been long in the expectation and we couldn’t wait to get out into the world of energy. Our first stop was to be St Helen’s Well. and although we couldn’t find the one specified by Megalithic we found her sister for sure.
St Helens Well
The day was crispy cold and brightly sunny as we clambered over a fence to get close to the spring that we had christened for the day St Helen’s Well. Gwas attended to his intuition whilst I found (again) that the spot I was stood in was indeed the best spot for me to be standing in (via the rods).
Talk about setting up an expectation. I am a great believer in Sun and Water and here at the Well both of these were in abundance. Perfect!
I had asked whether this place was suitable in learning more about the afore-posted Knights Quest and the answer had been a definitive yes! So, I relaxed and let the energies of the place wash over me.
As is beginning to become the norm I was in tune with the spirit of the place within moments and my vision expanded and I saw a bigger vista than the current stream we stood before. In my minds eye I saw Helen rise from the waters of the well and stand upon the waters.
Now that I right this down I can see the irony of the vision from several perspectives. A lady rising from the “lake” to stand before a guy on a knights quest? Who am I kidding? I think that what we experience in visions has to take things from our psyche to build the picture. (definitely worthy of a post to explain). So although that was what I saw it doesn’t mean that that is what happened. What it means (to me) is – that is what would best describe to me what happened. Hmmm….
Helen (I presumed) sparkled as I asked her whether she would impart some knowledge and direction on this quest I had been directed to. She showed me a path. A path that was made up of either blue fire or blue crystals along the path were nine points. I say points because that’s what it looked like. But I sensed that it wasn’t points but objects or markers.
Helen told me that I would have to collect nine tasks or objects and that I would meet with Cailleach and present her with these keys.The most unusual thing was that I was told that Cailleach would be personified in a person, a real person and not a meditation/visualisation. Wow!
Another point that I recall is that Cailleach wouldn’t be knighting me. She would then direct me further. Curiouser and curiouser as Alice would say.
There you have it, a wonderful vision quest continues apace and had me wondering all day…
