Have I done a post with that title before? Well, it deserves a few more and considering my recent heart challenge I think now is a good time to shoot of another arrow at the above question. If you missed my posts on my HC then here is a link to them.
It’s been two weeks since the culmination (if that’s the right word and indeed if the even has culminated) of that event and I am left with a question…What does it all mean? It is a question that I have been screaming to the rafters (or indeed to the mount of Olympus since such is the demesnes of the Gods). Fortunately this frustration was not too serious since I have a rather exotic take on the derivation of the word meaning.

One of the ways in which I define life is that the Universe and I collide the result of which is experience. From my perspective, I demand that the universe provides interesting stimuli. From the Universes perspective, it demands I provide the meaning for my experiences. There are two specific positions that need to be taken into account with these personally demanding laws.
The first is that the Universe may provide experiences for which the meaning can never be figured out, whether that be with reason or intuition. Such experiences I have termed Dancing with the Divine and lie in what Castanada might call the unknowable. Although I am truly loath to use a physics analogy, one might say such events emerge from the depths of Chaos (as in the theory).
The second is from my perspective and it states that, inconsequential to where the event originates from (knowable or not) I have the option of relegating the meaning of the event to that vast vault of Shit Happens.
Of course our desire for a reason (or meaning) as to the why of things is truly a thorn in our psychology that is immortalised by that gem of a thinker, Douglas Adams, in his now infamous guide to the galaxy. For me, I let chaotic answers rest at a manageable 42.
In the afore-mentioned posts you will read of the intuitive nudge and Caileach’s comforting words. Frankly it is nice to know that I (or some being) is looking out for me or at least keeping me company.
One hears that such life nudging events have brough epiphanies, insights, communes, near death experiences, floating above the body stuff. Alas I have pondered and searched for meaning and to be quite honest am disappointed by the simple and banal conclusion.
Carry on regardless…
There it is. Perhaps this was the event that proves the rule, so to speak. I have reviewed my life and the processes therein and find that I am quite comfortable with how things are. Except perhaps for the pain in the diodes down my left side (I’m sorry you’re going to have to read the Hitch hikers guide).
Nevertheless, it would have been nice to have an epiphany, a aha moment or even a slight out of the body experience. I live in hope (sic). And to wrap this event up. Gwas and I ventured out to the Cumbrian sacred sites for the day last weekend and I thought to utilise the energetic presence of a sacred site called Castlerigg to garner whether there was any message in this experience. The answer was yes. Wow! Excellent! What?
That my quest for finding the centre point was not concluded. What? Yep! That’s it. No revelation, no meaning, no nothing, Just completed. Yes, even Gwas was laughing at this revelation. You can see why I was shouting to the rafters…what does it all mean?
