The day had begun with a cold but splendid start at the sacred well dedicated to St Anna, Our next stop on this blessed day was to visit a nearby church that was dedicated to the (Sainted) Goddess Brigit. After all it was Imbolc! As we parked up I noted the similarities to our favourite, Llangernyw. I am certain the feeling came from the ancient Yews that decorated the churchyard. Both Gwas and I took an energetic path through the yard and found ourselves facing a large (7 foot tall) cross made from a couple of branches. Odd how we both ended up at the same spot.
The place drew Gwas’s fascination, whilst I was more intrigued by a tug that I was getting from the church itself. Walking around the old building I was delighted to find that it was open. So often these days the houses of God are closed and locked. Surely God can protect his (her,its) own abode? Anyway, I wandered inside and was immediately caught by an ornately carved stone near the entrance. The rods confirmed that this was indeed the most energetic spot in the church. Before exploring its energies I embraced the spirit of this holy building.
I confess that I have grown in my appreciation or perhaps I should say respect for other belief systems. My argument used to be that of mutual respect and since that was lacking, none or little respect. However the ravages of experience have distilled within me the wisdom of respect for all faith systems.So you would have found me making my way through the nooks and crannies of this church with a prodigious (for me) amount of respect and divinity.
The church had the usual double band of energy going along the sides of the central path up to the altar. Note to self: I will have to explore why this exists in so many churches. As is always the case on sacred journeys, we are always looking for commune with divine (meaning knowledge giving, not godly) awareness. So I wandered the church seeing if I could attune to some essence of Brigit. Alas nothing was forthcoming. Gwas and I amused on the notion that on Brigit’s day her shrine was empty.
I sought out Gwas and told him about my energetic find in the church. As he examined the block of stone, he noted that it was actually the font used for baptisms. I dowsed to see whether this was why it had energetic significance. The answer was obviously yes.
Other than being a nice church and for us, a sun streaming, experience. There was not much else that was consciously on my radar. Gwas has a more synchronistic tale to tell.

Interesting experience Kal. My ears especially perked up at the bit about the energies in the church. It sounds silly but since my cousin said he can feel the vibrations on church pillars/walls just because “it feels nice”, I`ve been trying it out too (always curious me – in fact that was the start of my personal “journey” ;-)) and I always get a tinging feeling in my hands (the energy is kind of swirling). As of late a warmth in the heart chakra region as well. Now I`m not particularly religious (i.e. I don`t read the bible or other holy scriptures nor am I a churchgoer) but it`s happened in all kinds of churches I`ve been to(Catholic, Protestant ones etc) and I`ve even felt the same sensation when (cheekily) touching holy water (especially available in Italian/Polish catholic churches!)when I was on holiday.
Actually come to think of it, I`ve felt the hand tingling sensation on big sacred stones (one of the stones by the entrance at Stonehenge and Long Meg in Cumbria). Have you noticed this kind of thing yourself on your travels or is it just me? I don`t know what it means but it`s a very nice energy indeed 🙂

Good day Hez,
You will be aware of course that our palms contain two major chakras, often known as the healing chakras. Perhaps this is the source of the sensation in ourself which is triggered by a particular form of energy? If you are a dowser, you should be able to confirm this for yourself. Personally, I haven’t felt energy of that kind through my hands. Although I have worked with healing energy and the palm chakras. Also the palm chakras are very good for detecting things that are good for you. An example is crystals where one moves the palm over the crystals to determine which is appropriate for one at a certain time.

Thanks Kal. It crossed my mind it could be healing-related in one way or another but I`m prob just ultra-sensitive. Yep have a pendulum. Time for a little dowsing session methinks!
