Samhain Pilgrimage 1: A gift

With great delight I welcomed a dear friend who was visiting Albion from across the great Atlantic. I had only recently returned from San Francisco myself and had spent the most amazing and cared for time with a truly dear friend of mine Tamara. I am a great giver, if I do say so myself, but Tam! Wow! She taught me what a true giver is. I am so filled with gratitude for all that she did for me.

Upon my return I resolved to up my game where giving is concerned. As a way of thanks to my friend Tam and as a way of paying it forward. So it was with great delight that I heard that a friend I had made in the USA was visiting the United Kingdom. A perfect opportunity to practice this new level of giving.

reciprocity is an illusion – take what someone has given you and pay it forward

Julie is a semi-nomadic shaman who was visiting the UK to attend a workshop in Scotland. Fortunately she had four days to spare to come visit with me. From the very outset I felt the desire to be at her service 100 percent. I would be her guide, benefactor and companion. Of course, the fact that Julie is a shaman means that I have a brilliant excuse to take her on a pilgrimage to some of our most amazing Sacred places.

As you read through this short set of posts keep in mind that at each place we would separate and let each other commune on a one to one with the energy and Genius of the place.
