What the Goddess!
So here I am walking through town when I catch a nice dress in a window. Now, I am not a one to notice dresses unless they are surrounding beautiful women. However this one, for some reason caught my eye. Still, a glance satisfied me and I walked on, only to bump into a threshold (energy barrier) as I neared the end of the window some few feet away. What! It was almost as if I had bounced off a solid wall. The bounce knocked me back a few feet until I was in alignment with the dress again. I stared at it and walked into the shop.
“How much is the dress in the window?” I asked the attendant. She quoted me a price and to my surprise I said, I’ll take it.
“We only have that dress,” She said, the meaning of which was lost on me, for the moment, until she added, “what size are you looking for?” I replied that I didn’t know, which got the first of many surprised looks from here.
“Is it for your wife?” She asked, to which I responded, No. “Your girlfriend?” No, I responded again, which drew the second look of surprise. She began to wrap the dress when I asked her to stop and hang it on a manikin so I could take a picture. As she did, I could see her thinking and a third question came from her, “Is it for your sister?” Alas for her, No was my response to that too.
Picture taken and wrapping done, we got to the checkout. It was at that – get your credit card out – moment when I thought, What the heck are you buying this dress for? The till ka-chinged and the attendant handed me my receipt, “Who is it for?” was her final question. I picked up the parcel and looked her in the eyes, smiled and said, “I don’t know.”
Intuition is the only excuse I can give for buying this dress. I assume that the future will give reason to my purchase.
