I have to wonder, “Is anything random anymore?” Here I am walking randomly through the streets of Florence. I was on a high as I had just completed a year long quest for the Four Elements. This was basically some down time, so to speak. I wandered the picturesque streets eating ice cream (of course) and enjoying the flotsam and jetsam of life.
At one point I walked by a lady sat within a doorway drinking tea from a plastic cup. I don’t know why but she sticks in my mind as I pass her by. Continuing my leisurely and aimless walk some twenty or so minutes later I am drawn to a shop. Looking in the window I see some small statues of Knights. Not that surprising I suppose, considering that there is some Knight influences in the history of Florence. However, one of the statues catches my eye. It is a knight giving some coins to a needy person.

Have you ever had one of those time freezing moments and your thoughts flash back to some memory wherein you gain a deeper insight, a slowed down view of it? Well, that is exactly what happened to me as I looked at that statue. Recollection hit me and my vision went back to the old lady who had been sat in the doorway. This time though, everything was slowed down so that I could see what was really happening. The woman wasn’t drinking tea, she was holding a cup before her asking for money. The vision was clear. I should have paid attention and given her some money. This vision was given me so that I could rectify that error.
How was I going to find that lady again? I had wandered around for a good while since passing her, taken many turns. It wasn’t going to be but then that is what ones intuition is for isn’t it? I didn’t want to use the dowsing rods in such a densely crowded environment and thus opted for deviceless dowsing instead. More difficult but less obvious.
Feeling my way around the streets of Florence was surprising easy, so much so that a mere fifteen minutes later I found the woman, still sat in the same place. As I approached her I put my hand in my pocket and withdrew a handful of currency. This wasn’t a time for counting, I dropped the entire handful into the cup. Her cup quite literally runneth over.
I knew my work was done the moment the coins hit the cup and… the sun came out again.
