In hindsight, this was my final eventful experience in Kilmartin and it was a reminder of something long forgotten. Like I needed reminding. We had just finished up at the Castle and headed to the church in Kilmartin. It’s a small place and to be quite honest I wasn’t expecting much in the way of work. I took a walk around the place and found it to be quite pleasant. Of course there were plenty of tourist taking pictures and so I joined them in this escapade.

It only takes about a minute before I am bored of that and decide to investigate with the rods. A pastime that is more obtuse when surrounded by tourists, but what they hay! I asked the rods for something that would be of interest to me and was taken inside an ancient building or so the signs said. Within the building where several stone slabs and the rods took e directly to the one pictured above. No surprise there then, other than there being a knight in the church.

I asked the rods for further clarification and they took me a merry dance through the graves (and tourists) to a set of stones on the ground. I asked whether it was any stone in particular and the rods, rather nonchalantly, replied, take your pick. So I did (see above). But, as per usual, what did it mean. I pondered this question whilst staring at the stone and a thought from way back when entered my mind. Many many moons ago I was quested to Create a Knights Crest. I had begun work on it, but never finished it. Was this a hint to get that done? Apparently it was.

A journey-mans quest is never done….tr-la-la…
