Arbow Low 2008 Part 3 – The Purpose of Arbor Low

Posted on September 12, 2008September 23, 2026 By kal 3 Comments on Arbow Low 2008 Part 3 – The Purpose of Arbor Low
Circles and Stones, Dowsing, Energy healing

As our dowsing and energy exploration has grown we have come to the stage of speculating on the purpose of stone circle, both in a general sense and in a specific – self-oriented sense – e.g. what can this circle do for us and what can we do for it – being the symbiotically oriented beings that we are.

It was getting late at Arbor Low when we turned our attention to this important question. Gwas began by dowsing for ‘communicative’ energies, whereas I looked for ‘healing’ energies. We soon discovered that such an attempt was futile – because we could find ‘spots’ in the circle that would give a yes to any number of purpose oriented questions. For example Gwas would ask for ‘connect me to a transformational centre’ and get a response, I would get one some feet away that was NOT a transformational centre!

This was something we had not drank coffee discussing and so we were at a loss. It seems that within the circle we could find spots that were of any purpose that we looked for.

Time running short we headed for the centre two stones. I had previously dowsed for ‘the best place to energise water for healing’ and it took me to one of the two large centre stones. Funnily Some minutes later Gwas dowsed also and placed his bottle right next to mine.

Anyway we dowsed over the ‘bottle’ stone using purposeful questions and came to the conclusion that it was a stone for transmitting healing to a distant place and for energising objects. You have to consider that this conclusion was reached after attempting several more obvious questions such as ‘can we use this for healing, transformation, spiritual development, transformation’ etc…Not only this but we got a definitive response of No to the question can we use this stone for healing us.

Again, intuitively, or perhaps out of frustration Gwas dowsed around for where this ‘healing’ energy could be sent to (personally I was believing it to be a distant as in anywhere on the globe place) and found that it was to its neighbouring stone in the centre! Weirder and weirder! (just goes to show that the answers we are getting aren’t in line with what we believe we should get!)

So it seems that one can send healing energies from one stone to the other and the recipient had(?) to be on the non bottle stone.

It was really getting late now and so we had to leave – vowing to return!

Just a final note – being a reiki oriented person – I dowsed over the ‘bottle’ stone to determine whether I could send Reiki energy from there and whether I should open my crown chakra there – the surprising answer was – No.

On the mountain I heard no inspirational call, but I did hear the mountain. I heard the birds calling to each other in the winds. This made me think of how this information we are writing about would reach others, and how musical we must make it sound if we want people to start resonating to its message, and to respond for themselves to its call.

Sometimes the messages you receive aren’t only for you.

Your welcome – and I look forward to hearing of your ‘enquiry’. Isn’t it often that people have gone upon mountains seeking enlightenment and clarification?

How many different names are there for the energy work that we are learning?

    1. Reiki
    2. Chi Kung/Tai Chi
    3. Meditation
    4. Channeling
    5. Magick

These all seem like the facets of a twirling diamond. We swivel our heads and crane our necks, flick our eyes to catch a glimpse through the prismic portal where some light refracts back, and we form fleeting pictures of deeper dimensions.

This approach, this pad-footing towards determining a purpose through divination techniques is as frustrating as it is tantalising. Someone has twitched a curtain in a window of the Alexandrian Library, and we have at least seen a small sliver of the exciting noetic possibilities.

With this many pathways we should choose a route after careful consideration. I will ask for a path when I reach the top of Scafell Pike tomorrow. If I can be quiet enough perhaps I will hear a call from a particular direction in the winds?

Thanks for scribing all that out Kal. Your trove overfloweth. 😉
