Nightmares, Dowsing and the Tarot

Nightmares

It had been a long days travel, to get me from the UK to Michigan in the US of A. I had been chasing the sun for 18 hours and had nothing but a shattered body to show for it as I opened the door to my lakeside apartment at about 2 am Michigan time.

The apartment had two double sized beds in it and still in my travel clothes I sunk into the nearest one knowing that I would be asleep within moments and such was indeed the case.

Although I couldn’t have imagined otherwise I was out for a mere hour before I awoke from a truly horrific dream. The dream was about murder and violent death, filled with graphic imagery and lots of gore.

I was quite surprised at this for several reasons:

  • I rarely if at all have nightmares (can’t recall when I last did)
  • On the occasion that I have, they were never about such violence and so graphic
  • I am usually able to control my dreams so that they head in a direction of my choosing – I couldn’t with this one.

Shattered though I was, I tried to visualise some protection around me and drifted into sleep again. Only to be awoken a half hour later by another nightmare and then again a couple of hours later.

These were really vivid dreams – and on the same theme of a man committing serious violence to a woman. I must emphasize that no such thoughts have entered my waking or dreaming mind until this shadowed night.

It was in a unrecovered state that I rose some 7 hours after I had arrived feeling much the worse for ware.

Day

Contrary to the opinion of most commentators the US authorities had blessedly let my dowsing rods through customs and so I had the tools necessary to divine my way through this situation.

Taking them in hand the very next morning I dowsed out the situation…

  • Where there any negative energy sources in the room? Yes.
  • Where was it? Right in the middle of the bed where I had been sleeping!
  • Where there any positive energy sources in the room? No – bummer!

On a scale of one to ten (see previous posts) it registered a 8 which is pretty serious and needed to be dealt with immediately!

I was curious about the characteristics of the energy and found that it had Female characteristics. Now this is surprising because until now (see house clearance) I have only come across negative energy streams that are Male and Neutral.

Another point was that this “female” energy didn’t have a neutral component with it – which again has – up to now – been a feature of negative energy sources.

One other point to note about this negative energy center was that it had a “Earth” energy component – what the heck was that about??

I asked whether it was the same “earth” energies as found at sacred sites? No – that was good to hear but left me with a puzzle that really had my brain aching for a while – but I left it for the moment as I wanted to deal with the negative energies.

Now, as you have seen in other places on this blog we have used crystals and large rocks (Dysearth) for manipulating energies – unfortunately I had no crystals with me (I know – shocking!)

So I asked the rods if there was anything close at hand I could use to help me manipulate the energies in the room? Yes!

Cool! So what was it? Well, the rods took me to my shoulder bag – which really surprised me because as far as I was aware I had only books and stationary in it. I took out the books, a notebook and a two pens – and asked to be pointed at the item(s) to use (this was going to be dreadful I could feel it).

And it was…the Rods took me to a large tome on Tarot – I tripled checked it and yes that was to be the tool of choice. I picked up the volume and leafed through it wondering why it was so special (I had two other books on Tarot too for that matter!)

As I flicked through it a picture flew out that a friend (Dinah) had given to me a few weeks ago. Ah…I wonder…Yes it was the picture that was to be used – not the book! Phew!

The golden card which I had placed in the book and forgotten about was a very colourful picture of Lakshmi.

Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth, prosperity, and generosity; and the embodiment of beauty, grace and charm. She protects her devotee from all kinds of misery and money-related sorrows. This gift was given to me about a month ago by Dinah, who knew that it would be useful here?

I dowsed for a place for the picture and found it – How long would it take for the negative energies to dissipate? About 10 days – which was how long I was staying for (in the other bed I fancy!).

Revelations

The next day I did some more dowsing in the early hours. Why was this negative energy here? Well, it seems to have been there for about a year and a half. It was there because of the imprinting of the thoughts (and feelings) of a man who had stayed in the room. Wow! They must have been some strong thoughts!!

I wondered though, even with such strong emotional thoughts, the imprinting to have lasted so long AND for me – a relative insensitive (or so i thought) to such emotional thought energies to pick it up – always…many questions!

Over the last half year I have become extremely interested in Tarot and its symbolism, which you may be seeing a lot more of on this “Druid” blog. And as is usually the case I seem always to have a deck (Waite-Smith) at hand.

Intuition is a strange thing – I wonder at times whether I came to a decision using intuition or logical progression…Still the next day I was sat waiting for my dear friend Brenda (whom I was visiting in Michigan) to arrive and wondered whether I could do a reading for the man.

I don’t know what Tarot readers would say about such a concept but having no preconceptions of not being able to do that – I asked the rods – and they confirmed “go for it!” in fact – and here I step out on a limb again – they almost insisted that I do – why do I say that – I have no idea!

I shuffled the the cards whilst thinking of the guy in the bed – what was his life, his thoughts, his feelings…then I dealt a Celtic Spread…

Distant Past: 4 Wands Reversed ~ obstacles, disappointments, not reaching a goal, inhibition and insecurities.

Just Passing: 5 Wands Reversed ~ internal conflicts, bickering and stress, nasty set backs and quarrels, daily grind wearing one down, malicious opposition, being beaten upon.

Current: 10 Swords Reversed ~ drastic changes, chronic drawn out problems, recurrence of past difficulties, disruptions possibly death, the worst is yet to come.

Clarification of Current Card: 6 Cups Reversed ~ clinging to the past, old indiscretions or affairs, emotional things from the past disrupting thoughts.

Opportunities: Ace Swords ~ “strength in adversity”, discipline, focusing your mind, possibly using the law to end a dispute, “every cloud has a silver lining”.

Crown: 2 Swords ~ guarded emotions, unwillingness to see whats infront of you, ready to cut anyone who shows you, stalemate or impasse, closing yourself off.

Near Future: 3 Swords ~ heartache and emotional pain, loss or separation from someone you love, perhaps a divorce, grief.

You: The Chariot ~ self discipline, master of your own fate, proud person, “i can deal with it”, victory through strength, “i am in charge”, maybe single-minded.

Environment: 6 Wands Reversed ~ the environment isn’t supportive, people in your life are against you, possible infidelity or miscommunication, not enough respect, possible rivalry.

Hopes and Fears: The Emperor Reversed ~ losing control, not being in control of one’s life, lack of progress, the laws are against you.

Outcome/Advice: 5 Cups ~ loss and disappointment, abandonment, betrayal, “glass half empty”, relationship which has led to regret and disappointment, mourning, self-blame, breaking up.

Wow! what a reading – this guy must have been at the end of his tether!

Healing

Ok, so on day one I placed the Lakshmi card as the rods had directed – which happened to be right opposite the non infected bed – where I would sleep for the rest of my trip I might add 🙂

On day two I checked the energies and now a positive energy center had developed on the bed where I had slept. The energy from this flowed in a nice arc to the negative energy center and wrapped itself around it.

On day three another positive energy center had appeared on the bed where the negative energy center was! Also the negative energy centers energies had dissipated from a 8 to a 4! I also dowsed to see if the negative energy was flowing anywhere? No.

Also on day three as I was walking along the wonderful beach by the lake (which is so big it looked like an ocean!) I speculated on the “earth” energies (see earlier) and a thought came to me – I rushed back to my room (which was right on the beach – jealous?) to check.

Question: Was there a geological fault below my room? Yes! Ahhhh!! Was this why the emotional imprinting was so strong? Partially? O ok…hmmmm…Is there water running through the fault? Yes! Wow! Is the imprinting because of both the water and the fault? Yes!

As many investigators have speculated, it was because of the GeoFault and Water Flow that ensured that the energetic printing was so strongly manifested here!

No dowsing on Day four – I am on holiday right? Day five had some more energetic creations. There were two new positive energy centers in my apartment. One in-between the beds and another in the adjoining bathroom. All flowed to the negative energy and wrapped themselves around it.

On Day five the negative energy level was less than a 1 but was still in existence!

On my penultimate day there and I checked the energies -only one energy center was in existence in the room. A positive one on the bed where the negative one had been!

The Test

With a sigh I wrote in my journal “you have to test it, right?” So my last night as my first, I slept in the “haunted” bed – with some trepidation I might add. And had a wonderful restful sleep.

Thanks Lakshmi!

As always,

Edge Wizarding Kal
