A few miles west of Avebury is the village of Yatesbury in Wiltshire, whose nearby fields hosted a June crop circle in the intricate shape of a phoenix – the legendary bird of resurrection. To my way of thinking these intricate designs demand we pay more attention to finding out the source of these unusual formations.

 

Soon, Kal and I will get the opportunity to dowse around one or two in the company of Lucy Pringle. Watch out for posts related to that trip, but for now content yourself with the baffling shape of the aquarian phoenix, courtesy of Crop Circle Connector’s web site:
