Caffeine

Ok, so I had just mentioned to Jenni that I was a caffeine addict and it would be great to get rid of that addiction. We were on the Beach again in Brooklyn and the sun was scorching for April. Jenni asked me to lie down on the sand and I did so.
She knelt down beside me and after a couple of seconds of deep breathing she hit me in the stomach. Whoosh! I staggered, rolled over and doubled up. What the f***! I screamed and turned back over to give her a verbal (and possibly physical) berating. She had stepped away and all three of these Natives! were smiling.
She opened her hands before me, placating and shushed my outrage. “I didn’t hit you” she said. What? Of course she had. She tapped the side of her head, “don’t think, feel” This was not the time for Bruce Lee spirituality I have to say. My stomach was churning and threatening to empty itself.
“No, I didn’t” She said again, just stop and feel for a moment. I thought she meant to feel my stomach so I rubbed it gently. There didn’t seem to be any tenderness. I looked across at her and she said that she hadn’t hit me physically, instead it had been energetically.
I felt around in my mind. How do you feel if an addiction is still there? Particularly one that is as subtle as caffeine? I couldn’t tell. It would have to wait. Other more interesting matters where going to unfold.
Invisible
As I mention in previous posts, I had failed to see Jenni vanish because I was stuck in my beliefs (her explanation). So I had very very reluctantly agreed to take some perception enhancements i.e. hallucinogenics.

We sat in the kind of peace party circular tradition and Jenni brought out a wooden pipe. She took some stuff out of a pouch and loaded the pipe. I began to ask questions, when Tom (or Sam) touched my arm and placed a finger to his lips. No talking.
The pipe was giving off a fair amount of smoke and I was trying not to breathe it in. Jenni smiled. She knew what I was trying to do. She handed me the pipe and I clumsily took a drag. Nothing. I looked around me and nothing, other than a rather cold feeling inside as if I had breathe in extremely cold air and it had frosted my lungs.
My perception as far as I could tell hadn’t changed. I looked across at Jenni, who smiled, and gestured for me to have another drag. Feeling that it wasn’t as bad as I had anticipated (feared) I took another gulp from the pipe.
As I breathed out I noted in myself a little queasiness. “Ah,” my mind thought, “here is where it gets confusing.” But again the feeling was short lived and I didn’t get anything more than a queazy feeling.
On the third drag however I noticed something that could have been there before but unnoticed. There was quite a breeze blowing and the waves had plenty of motion. However as I looked out on them they seemed to have slowed down, no, not slowed down but stopped completely.
My head was difficult to move but I could move my eyes ok, so I looked over at Jenni who had been trying to get my attention apparently. As I looked at her, she pointed at herself.
A little exercise for you. Can I ask you to try something? What I want you to do is to point at yourself. Are you doing it? Go on, have a go. Now then, without moving your hand. Where are you pointing? I bet its your chest or your heart?
Jenni was pointing at her navel and tapping it gently. Or it could have been really fast, my perception was awry, remember? As I watched her touch her navel the most remarkable thing happened. She collapsed into a point of light and vanished.
I know, I was on a hallucinogenic, or it could have been suggestion, hypnosis or just plain crazy. But I’m telling you that girl vanished and right into her navel too.
I think that I should have been shocked but I wasn’t. If I recall, my thoughts were on the lines of, “Oh, that’s interesting”. The pipe had fallen from my hands I think and I felt a headache and an ache throughout my body. Particularly my heart. I do recall at one point wondering if I was going to have a heart attack.
It must have been about 30 minutes that I sat there in a kind of slow motion daze until I felt myself coming out or returning to my senses.
It was then that the impact of what had happened hit me. What seems to have happened is that the excitement and wonder of Jenni vanishing had been bottled up inside me until the effects of the drug had worn off. At which point my feelings and senses were inundated with emotion. It was over whelming.
The request
Tom and Sam where both still with me when I could talk again and I described to them my experience. They nodded in that we know kind of way. They all but patted me on the shoulders with a “there there”. It took even more time for me to recover the use of my legs and the ability to walk. Once I had done so they said their good byes and reminded me as promised. “Tomorrow Jenni will tell you about our request.” It looked like I wasn’t going to be seeing these two guys again.
Funny, I actually felt really sad about that.

Hail & Greetings to you,
In your post about Jenni, you mentioned perception enhancements.
I would like to know what kind? I assume these “Enhancements” were natural and not chemical. I know of Damania, and Salvia (American tumble weed) and peyote & mescaline.
I also wish to “journey”
Thanks!

Hey there Selwyn,
The entire tale and my knowledge about it is related if you follow this link.
https://www.hedgedruid.co.uk/tag/going-native/
It’s back to front, but I think part 3 is the one you want to look at. Alas
I don’t know what the name of the drug was. Perhaps you can identify it from
its effects.
Have a great weekend Selwyn,
Kal
Yes you’re right Kal – the whole experience was one of surrender and complete trust in an unknown. I really commend you for doing that – and look how you were rewarded, what gifts you’ve been given for making that leap of faith! 🙂 I do find you an inspiration in regards to this, being as I am, almost unable to restore my faith in even the most simple of things at times! I think I miss being a child too much 😉 It really is a case, of truth being stranger than fiction with what happened to you in America, it really is such an amazing tale. Anyway, I just wanted to acknowledge you properly, since my initial comment disappeared! Yes – I do know about my name, but being a ‘promise of God’? I couldn’t feel less like that!!
Liz
Hi Liz,
Thanks for your comment. I count so many of the blessings in my life everyday – honest.
Yes, it was a remarkable and completely unexpected conclusion. I had no notion of what they had in mind. However with such a noble request, how could I ever say no? I am truly honoured by the bestowal of their gift.
Our inner child is a hard centre to rediscover. It usually is buried pretty much right after child-hood. As it happens I am doing some research in this very area at the moment. Our inner child gets buried in our root energies. A good start to reclaiming it is by hanging around with people that express it.
With regards to ‘gods promise’ consider this, god(dess) knows you are.
kal
I’ll be extremely interested in reading your thoughts on the inner child Kal. I’m convinced we have to get to that state of consciousness before these miraculous things can happen. As I say, on some rare occasions I’ve been able to get back to that trusting innocence and found the most wonderful times followed. To children, so many ordinary things are wondrous and the world for the most part is full of promise and is nonthreatening.
“A good start to reclaiming it is by hanging around with people that express it.” In that case, perhaps its time I met up with you both, that is if you’d still like to say ‘hi’ and are near to my neck of the woods any time 😉
Thank you for your friendship and kind words Kal
Liz 🙂
Good day Liz,
Of course, always a pleasure to meet up with enquiring souls Liz. I am currently drafting some posts on my personal blog over at http://www.OriginalPurity.com on the matter of our inner child. They’ll be up there in a week or two. So much to do 🙂
Your comment “get to that state of consciousness before these miraculous things can happen” is interesting. Perhaps it would be more apt to say “get to that state of consciousness before these miraculous things are more perceivable”? Which has a foundation that miracles are a daily occurrence but invisible to our ‘adult, stoic’ sight? What do you think?
Blessings on your day.
Kal
Yes, I think your observation is probably right Kal, if you start your journey with a positive and joyous heart, then you do notice these things more. I just think that it’s like a snowball effect, that once you notice one miracle, then they just get bigger and bigger. I can tell you stories where I’ve wondered if I encountered angels – please don’t laugh! Sometimes, like the Native Americans you met, these incredible beings just seem to appear. I’m so glad you’re open to the idea of ‘touching base’ as they say! I’ll check out your blog – thanks for the link, and if I can mail you sometime to have a deeper chat and pick your brain, that would great too 🙂
Blessings – Liz 🙂
Hey Liz,
Our expectations and intentions are a big part in creating our future. It is actually like that, with synchronicities at least. Abraham Maslow did a lot of investigation into that arena with his Hierarchy of Needs and what he called Peak Experiences.
Angels, no, I am not going to laugh. Although I don’t think I’ve experienced Angels but I have many that feel they have met them firsthand. For me, an Angel is an event.
If, in our life someone (or thing) brings a miraculous event then that someone (thing) is an Angel in my book.
Yes, sure. Checkout my blog and feel free to drop me a line.
May your weekend shine,
Kal
Oh dear – I just posted you a nice long reply and for some unknown reason, it got swallowed into the ether – how odd! 🙁
Hi Liz,
Gosh, sorry about that. I ususally write up a reply in notepad and then paste it into the comment box. That way if it goes astray, it is easily posted again. Sorry about the techno problems.
Kal
I wonder if that was DMT that they gave you to smoke? A friend of ours who took some once, said it gives you a very cosmic ‘trip’ for about ten minutes in which time you can learn a very profound lesson. I admit to being a little afraid of venturing to such deep perceptions at such an accelerated rate, but you seem like a person without, well… ‘darkness’ within, so I think for people like you and Gwas who are sort of psychologically ‘sorted’ doing something like that would be really helpful. I on the other hand, hate to think what sort of horrors I’d have to confront in the out of time place! Although I’m beginning to understand that my path has a strong healing purpose, the ‘medicine’ I’ve been given is a very difficult energy to process (it all began, funnily enough after a Shamanic dream I had in California when I was told by (and please don’t laugh…!!) Jimmy Hendrix of all people, that I was being placed in ‘the house of insanity’! It’s a long story, honestly, but seems Mr Hendrix is a fully qualified Shaman in the other world, I hope you don’t think I’m crazy or on some kind of ego trip, that couldn’t be further from the truth! But suffice to say I feel like I’ve been taken on my own weird ‘trip’ since then!
These people, were they real?? You describe them almost as spirit guides, back in the day when I was more involved in my path, my old guide used to show me this sort of thing, he’d be almost brutal in his teachings, its hard to explain, but I guess it comes under the arena of ‘tough love’ and to those more advanced beings, we must seem like babies taking our first steps and indeed sticking our hand in the fire – sometimes they have to be very explicit in showing us something, which to them is as clear as day! I’ve only ever met someone of this exception once in my life, when I first began to explore esoteric subjects when I was 18 or so. This man just came into my life for a day literally, he was a Shaman too. Sometimes we do get a huge energy package from someone like this, a sudden gift from the universe to hasten our journey a little. I do agree with Selwyn White-Thorne – it looks to me like an initiation of sorts, no doubt all will be revealed in your final post about this! 🙂
Hi Liz,
Thanks for your comments, I really enjoy going a little deeper into the posts with your queries. Firstly, yes, they were real people. I don’t know what the drug was. When I asked they wouldn’t tell me. In hindsight I seemed to have trusted them beyond what I normally would have done. I wonder if they had cast some spell over me or maybe it was just that they were such a fascinating bunch?
Concerning drugs, no. I don’t think I would venture into that world again. It was interesting and now I’ve experienced it (well once). It is enough for me I fancy. Perhaps it was needed. I don’t know, it certainly gave me multiple new experiences to translate.
Gwas and I agree that such experiences might be interesting, but if you cannot bring anythng back to the “real” world to use then ultimate they are just entertaining.
You do use fascinating language Liz, why would you believe that there are horrors inside of you? And even if they were, the “horrors” is only a layer that can be traversed. Inside all of us is a light that shines so incredibly bright. All that is required is for us to life the covers of to find it. (laugh) “all”
Yes, I have had one day wonders pass in and out of my life too. I think they pass in all peoples lives, we were lucky enough to recognise them.
Ultimately I am coming to the conclusion that we are not babies, rather we are dsconnected from the energetic power that is quite literally our other half (often referred to as an energy double, energy body or indeed our higher self). Should we reconnect with this, or indeed IT reconnect with us, then prodigeous power comes into our grasp. As with all power, this would engender great responsibilty which hopefully our hearts could cope with.
Blessings Liz,
Kal
ps: of course you know that Elizabeth (I am presuming its your name) means God’s Promise.
Welcome to your first “Journey Awareness” experience! With time and experience you will see and experience many things, such as astral travelers, animal speak and much more! You are now on your way to becoming a shaman. You will see many things,it would be wise to make a journal and record what you see and experience. In words and drawings you can record what you see, feel and hear while doing a “journey”
Thanks Selwynn. I am looking forward to seeing what exciting new ventures lie in my path. Honestly, I’ve never seen myself as a Shaman although I suspect that many of the activities described herein suggest such. Let us see what is revealed around the next corner.
Thanks again for your comment
Kal
Interesting series of posts! But (and forgive me if I’m repeating any past comments…) I keep coming back to one question: so what? I’m not denigrating your experience or any insights you might have received, but so what if Jenni can disappear? Does that usher in peace or solve any problems? Does she want a medal? Ultmately, what’s the point? And, naturally, maybe I’m missing the point altogether. I do admire you for at least hearing these odd folks out, but I’m afraid I wouldn’t have been as open. They sounded manipulative and condescending–but I wasn’t there. I guess it’s that your experience reminds me of people I’ve met who claim to have powers or knowledge, and they’re always a little “holier than thou” about it, and it seems more about glorifying themselves than really giving you anything that can actually help you. But enough of Negative Nellie; at least you got me to thinking…
Good day Riverwolf,
I have to confess that they didn’t come across like that to me. Perhaps it is in my telling. As I mentioned in the first post on this matter, I also related many experiences of mine to them. Which I have left out as they are recorded herein.
There is one final post remaining in this set, I think that will give an interesting motive to this sharing experience. I look forward to your comments on that one and to see if your perspective changes.
I’m glad to have got you thinking Riverwolf. Say on good friend.
Kal
