Hatshepsut, try saying that without spitting? It was my 3rd day in Luxor and I had just left (or been kicked out of) the Valley of the Kings. My next stop was the amazing temple of Hatshepsut. Now one thing that you have to remember and use to judge my Egyptian adventures is that beyond the silver screen I have no knowledge of Egyptian history. Basically, Indiana Jones and Stargate SG1 are my sources, which is to say that I have none.
Here I was, looking up at this beautiful temple along the huge corridor that approaches it. Right from the approach I took out my rods and began asking the usual questions. Was there anything to learn, to do, you know what I mean.
I asked for the correct (for me) approach to the temple and I was taken straight along the causeway. Now it was after a few minutes of walking this path that I stopped and considered. This path almost felt like a lay line in its strength and directness. I asked whether it was indeed a lay line to which the answer was No. Was it then a Male/Sun energy line? Yes. This was unusual but not completely. It was more the strength that surprised me, because it was very very strong.
As I approached the bit where the stairs are suddenly I was pulled off to the right and was eventually taken to the statue you can see in the pic. I felt that I needed to do some kind of offering here before I could enter. So (as directed by the rods) I collected four stones and placed them at the feet of the statue in a kind of diamond shape. Once done I was ready to enter the temple.
Again I tapped into the powerful male energy line and it led me up the staircase as I got to the top of the stairs and expected the line to take me in it split off to the left and right. I followed it to the left and it took me to the edge of the and then spun round and started its way back. But something had changed. It was now a nice wavey female energy. Something had changed it into a female energy. After some exploration I determined that it was something below and over the edge of the temple that had done. Puzzled at this change, I know followed the female/moon energy back towards the central stairway and into the temple. I was taken into a small plaza in the upper and central part of the temple and there the energy sunk into the ground.
What now I thought? Was the a Genius Loci here? No. That was a bit disappointing. Was there any other awareness here? Yes. Finally, I got to learn that it was the Queen herself. I know, kind of obvious isn’t it? Well, we all have our different paths to getting to the truth. Could I commune with this being? Oh yes. It seems that the little ceremony down by the statue had been an unlocking one.
Here I collected four stones and placed them in various points of the plaza. I then lit four incense sticks and placed them under each of the stones. Yes, there were tourists wandering around me but I ignored them. Then after this setting out of my store, I was ready. I asked the rods where I should stand and they positioned me exactly where the picture is taken from.
Even as I turned to face the center of the plaza the Queen arose from the depths. It shocked in as much as I hadn’t done an open my mind kind of thing. There she was in all her splendour. And splendid she was. Colours and light radiated from her. I’ve never seen her like in real life or sacred experiences. It was not about power, more about majesty. Yes, she exuded majesty.
I’ve come across the odd Goddess or two and Hatshepsut was not of the same ilk. This was a Queen with the presence and majesty that goes with that. Much different from a Goddess I assure you.
Here’s the thing…you forget…even when you have been at this game for as long as I have, you forget. I guess it was the innocence of the place. Had I expected her to rise out of the ground so spectacularly? No. So you can’t really blame me, can you? What I had forgotten was to place any kind of protective shield around me. Not that it even occurred to me then, this is in hindsight.
As I stood before the Queen she reached out with her fore finger and touched my forehead (think 3rd eye chakra) and as she did a feeling like molten lava flowed down my inside and pooled into a bowl of fire in my Solar (yes, think chakra) region. She smiled, and I got the sense that she said, “A gift.” For what, I was about to ask when with the same suddenness she was gone.
To be honest with you, I think I did take a step back. But then grabbed my rods…was this experience a bad thing? I checked the what’s and wherefore’s and was happy with the results, I hadn’t fallen for any “bad shit” as they say in the game. Still I am still wondering what that was about. However I suspect that it was because of the way that I entered and presented myself to the Queens temple. That’s my answer and I am sticking to it.
