I have previously posted an article about my interaction with tree knowledge at Helsby Hill. During this “vision” I was given the images of the Sun and the Moon as being characteristic of two types of energy lines. After the vision I rationally, in my view, aligned these thoughts to my existing paradigm of “Sun = male, Moon = female‘.
Yesterday I was reading the first sections of “The Druid Magic Handbook” by John Michael Greer. I came across a passage describing the three energies which I had previously characterised as Male, Female and Neutral, but instead of what I would consider for Kal and I as a ‘traditional classification’, Mr Greer re-defined the energies slightly.
Greer conceptualises that there is a Sun energy, which is essentially masculine in nature. My findings heartily concur with this. However, he then goes on to define its complementary energy as being Earth energy, and that THIS is feminine in nature. A third energy, which I have previously called Neutral, he then states is produced as a combination of, or manifestation of, the interaction between the Sun and Earth energies, producing the Moon energy, which has a neutral or possibly a combined characteristic.
This gives me a new question to put to the trees, and may help us understand why there are some many contradictions in our dowsing findings so far. Although, I hold little hope that we will ever find a truly objective interpretation. However, this opens up a new debate on the nature of energy lines for me and Kal. One which I hope to explore further soon.
