The Path over the Hill
The spirit paths are therefore the most volatile we have uncovered. To understand spirit energies we have had to learn how to connect and share energies with the animal, vegetable and mineral energy systems around us. This is essentially a druidic philosophy, although it is more a methodology or loose system which can be approached from many directions – divining, tarot, communing – these ways and more.
Kal’s method is a form of Reiki meditation and visualisation; whereas, I prefer an open-eyed druidic trance state, often induced by lighting effects of the sun. Hey – whatever works for you. Some people work well in dreamscapes. Either way, it works well with the dowsing, which we use to find good spots to sit at, and to energise ourselves to act out intuitive dramas where we feel it is right to, say, walk around a site in a specific direction; or to exit a place by a certain route.
By discovering, understanding and interacting with these fields of energy in this way, it might allow us to learn how to link to the sun and moon energies too. Many of you probably know much about this particular aspect already. We’re just starting down this road. We’ll see you when we all get together!
A dragon’s intent
Taking the dowsing to another level, we have started to interact with the energy fields, rather than simply describe them. This takes an altogether different attitude than mere curiosity. It takes intent. When we started we were ‘energy diviners’ – plotting, sketching and measuring this phenomenon. Now I would say we would prefer the term ‘energy workers’ – feeling, communing with and learning from interactions with sources of energy, in whatever form or origin they have.
Our own spirit energies are slowly being elevated, such that our perception and ability to perceive is being enhanced through the actions of dowsing at these sacred places. As we learn to quieten our chattering minds, and trust the intuitive and creative information that wells up and speaks to us, we are given riddles, pictures, puzzles to solve. Chasing the spirit down dragon paths has led us onwards into a world viewed differently, and to a fuller satisfaction with life’s progress.

Our next task is to study some sites to discover and describe them from a new perspective, that of area and its relationship to line and pattern. We will also devise a checklist of dowsing questions to ask at sites so that we ensure we have a completeness about the experience. Whilst it’s fun to return to site with new ideas and thoughts, a little direction wouldn’t go amiss. 😉
