Welcome to Froggatt Edge, not the most exciting of sacred sites as visibility goes, but it has a great approach. Up through a long and winding path and then along a track at (almost) the edge of a cliff. We took some fabulous pictures and the weather was warm and blessed.
Going on a tangent for the moment, I feel that the everyday (or mundane as it is often referred to herein) world is one that takes up our attention almost 100 percent. Sacred outings such as this one then, break that hold that the world has on us. But, so what? What does escaping that prison grant us? Read on…
After a long and pleasant walk/climb we arrived at the sacred site (named after its location) Froggatts Edge. As I said, not the most exciting of sites, however one that is alive with power. I had tried to garner or indeed makeup a purpose for this outing. But my curiosity and imagination was not up to the task and I was left hanging and for this visit at least, purpose-less.
Being a dowser really comes into its own when one is at a loss for something to do. It was time to explore the energies of the site. I explored the energy centres, the male and female flows and the interactions between the twin. I often feel that such interactions with energy shake up (awaken?) ones own intuition too. This was one such occasion. Whilst in the midst of this exploration, I felt that there was something trying to get out. Some knowledge, some information, something.
What to do? I was going to opt for the “take me to something that will help me understand what I need to?” approach. But instead felt that I needed to try an alternative. I’m not a one for automatic writing or indeed automatic drawing (not wanting my body to be used by another being thanks!) however in this instance I felt that it was more of a case of my intuition wanting to get some knowledge from my inner self to my outer self.

I grabbed a stick and started to inscribe something in the sand of the path by the site. There was no thought involved, no conscious direction. The eventual result is shown in the picture above. I don’t know what you see, but I see a heart, a phoenix and a dragon. But what did it mean?
Meaning is something that we bring to the equation of life. So what this meant to me was a reminder of things that had, perhaps, slipped my conscious mind. The dragon reminded me of my on going Dragons Soul Book quest. The phoenix was a pointer towards the coming of transformation (in my opinion, the phoenix offers major, life altering transformation). The heart? Well, for me, the heart resonates with the question, “Who Am I?” so perhaps this was a prod to remember who I am?
This auto-drawing concluded our visit to Froggatts Edge.

ps: I think that we’ll start renaming some of these un-named circles? What do you think?
