Gwas and I had opened a portal earlier on (Opening Portals) as a consequence we had been pulled down a path adjacent to the main site. At first we had encountered a couple of huge stones. After exploring those we entered a grove and instantly knew it was a Fay Grove.

Before I even entered the place I could feel that this was something special. I stopped myself from stepping across the threshold. Was there any protocol that I needed to observe? No. Really? I was surprised. Surely there were observances to be made before entering this sacred grove? No. I wasn’t convinced. I really felt that some preparation, some energetic path at least must be observed. But to all these the rods came back with a no, no and no.
You understand of course the semi absurdity of asking the rods whether they are giving correct answers don’t you?
A thought occurred to me, perhaps we had already done the prep work? I asked whether the opening of the portal was related to this grove. The answer was a resounding Yes. Aha! If we had not opened the portal would we still recognise this place as a Fay Grove? No. Aha times two! So it seemed that we had indeed unbeknownst to us worked on this magical place. It was time to step through the gates.
It was an amazing feeling. It seemed that the sun (which had hidden itself) came out to play. The colours became brighter and the feeling airy and light. I wandered around this sacred place for quite a while, soaking in the energy and youth of the place before considering the opportunity for learning and exchange.
Finally, when I had settled into this new vibration I asked whether this was a place to learn and exchange (I added the exchange part because I intuitively felt that Fay are exchangers). The answer was a absolutely! So I asked whether there was a particular place to engage in commune and I was taken to the tree (in the pic above). Lurching against the trunk of the tree, cheek to cheek, I cautiously let myself open to commune.

Wow! What a sensation. Youth mixed with ancient wisdom and tremendous power was what I felt. It was a paradoxical mix to be sure. Youth and Wisdom? How did that work? Only the Fay I guess could muster such a strange combination. It felt good, really good. I got a message – almost like a sniff – instantly. “You have a Faery Taint” What?! What was that supposed to mean? Alas, no answers were forthcoming.
I put it aside for the moment and asked whether an exchange could be made? What do you have to offer? I was asked. I searched for previous gifts that I had given. Memories, how about a tale or two of some adventures of mine? These were declined. Hmmm What about emotions? This seemed very agreeable with the Sidhe and so I asked what they would give in exchange.
I was asked to silence my thoughts and as I did I heard a clear note of a bell. It sounded again and a third time. In my mind I saw the image of the singing bowl that I have at home. “This is a song for your bell” I was told. The notes played again, as if to fix them in my mind. What would playing the notes do? I asked. But got nothing in response.
To be quite honest I wasn’t impressed. A gift, yes, but to what use? To what purpose? Why did all these messages come in fits and starts? I pondered what emotion to give in exchange for this mysterious gift. Hmmm, I felt like testing the Fay, I know, sounds dangerous, but I want to know where I am standing. Would the Fay like a gift emotion of hate? No, anger? No.
That was a relief, I’m sure if they said yes to that I was in some kind of trouble. Having passed my small test I asked whether they wanted Compassion? No, Love? No. Gratitude? Yes! Ah, I said like a waiter at a restaurant, an excellent choice. I lit some incense and with the smoke let loose a whole plethora of gratitude emotions. If it were possible, the place lit up even more.
My commune finished, I checked my memory for the sound of the bell yes, I still had it. I wandered about the place, touching the energies in various spots. Like wandering around a garden filled with different fragrance of flowers. A thought occurred to me. Yes, this is how one gets lost in a Faery Ring. I called across to Gwas, we were done here. Let’s move on.
Kal Malik – visiting the Sidhe

Hello Kal, I loved this post and understood almost everything ! you must share the bowl notes and the gift essence if possible at a later date.
I look forward to posts such as these as I feel that I too have a taint 🙂
Looking to understand more and find my path back to the forest sometime soon.
Be well, keep up the good work in sharing and awakening. L&L *** kara
Hello Kara,
Thank you so much for your comments. Let me just say that there are a fair few more posts still to come from our Beltane journey which adds to this story. Of course we are a few weeks from this time and I have had one “Bell” experience already. We are sharing posts at a rate of one a day at the moment and still I think the “Bell” one will be a few days before it arrives here og Hedge Druid. I hope you enjoy it.
Thank you again,
Kal
