It’s hard to believe that this was only the end of the second day in Brittany. We seemed to have accomplished so much, and yet were both about to have our little cotton socks blown off by the next site that I had lined up. It was a new one, and as Kal excitedly pointed out – it was “Access Level 5”. It was on the south side of the town of Erdeven, which is a few miles north of Carnac, where we had just been for the afternoon. The site is collectively called The Kerzerho Alignments.
For me I prefer sites which require a little effort to get to. They are often more unspoilt, energetically. I needn’t have worried. Despite the car park (well done, our French cousins – great facilities yet again) being almost full of cars, the few spots of rain which occasionally drips for a few seconds soon causes them all to run for metallic cover and roll away. Goodbye! Goodbye, hardy visiting folk! Be mindful of your million Euro hairstyles as you rush between car and hotel, won’t you?! Watch those designer threads don’t dissolve in the light drizzle. We zip up our light waterproofs and head into the quieter side whilst the scurrying on the easier side ensues.
We have to use the Tufty Club‘s road safety messaging to get across the busy D781 road. It was worth the near whiplash and bristling tails, as we find ourselves amongst a collection of giant stones, feeling like lost pawns in a giant game of megalithic chess. As we walk towards them we both spot two “obvious” portal stones. Well, when you’ve visited hundreds of sites and dowsed them for energies, then you begin to recognise common features instinctively. We recognise portal stones, and my recent interest in “seal energy” comes straight to mind. I wonder whether this portal has an energetic seal on it?
SEAL ENERGY: This is a form of energy which has been deliberately encoded by human visitors. The energy has been “spun” and “laid out” in such a way as to form a specific path. If the path can be followed and the numerous power centres (hot spots) are neutralised, then the “seal” is unlocked, and the portal opens FOR THE PERSON WHO UNLOCKED IT (i.e. the seal isn’t “generally” open).
Opening the seal and walking through an unlocked portal seems to open up the site to a lot more interesting phenomenon. Instead of merely visiting, now the entrant becomes interactive with the energies of the site. It’s like the site “knows” you. Almost like having a pass-code which lets you get into the VIP area!
There are seals on two sets of portal stones, we find. One set on each side of the road. Several spots needed to be visited to unlock the seals, but once done we find that we are quickly able to connect to and blend with the energies of the stones. We are free to work as we please. I choose to ask about the recent new quest discovered at the Kercado Tumulus only a few hours earlier. That quest is to find out why the giant in my vision pulls a stone out of one site and throws it to form another. As I touch one of the larger stones while standing in a power centre, I begin to get information flooding in….
In my vision I re-play the giant’s actions that I saw at Kercado earlier that day. In this rendition, however, certain aspects of the actions are focused upon. The giant grabs a standing stone from a stone circle, and the vision focusses on the grab action. The activity took strength – this was important. The removal of the stone effectively dismantles the existing site. This was the second important point. Then the stone is thrown like a spear – another vital action. The ‘spear’ then lands and establishes a new site.
In this state of mind I feel that I can ask questions, so I pose this one. “Why does the site need to be dismantled in the first place?“. The answer returns. The site is dismantled because energy has been depleted irreparably. “What would cause a site to be depleted of energy?” It can be caused by energy leaking along straight lines. Look at the road!
Ah – the road that goes thorough the Kerzerho site – this is a long straight road! But this site doesn’t feel depleted of energy. How has it kept ‘active’ – how has it maintained its energy? By sealing the energy in using portal stones and energy seals.
Fascinating stuff. The weather is clearing now, and the other side of the road is beginning to be bathed in patches of bright Spring sunlight. Kal looks like he is ready to move too, and so we skip across the road to begin to look at the stones on the other side. As far as I am concerned I am done here, but there is MUCH MORE to come! More than I could have expected.
The Kinship Engine
I have a theory about the design of the Carnac stone row alignments. I believe that they are a huge subtle energy engine, into which one can put energy, and out of which the energy will emerge transformed and amplified. Such is the nature of the work I did earlier that day when completing the Muse of Taliesin quest. Here at Kerzerho I was about to find a smaller version of The Carnac Engine, but with a different and more specific purpose to the energy that it could transform.
Using the dowsing rods I ask to be taken to somewhere that could explain the purpose of this site. I am taken down towards the end of the site where the stones are smallest and closest together. At a power centre behind one of the stones I meditate on the connection to try to discern some information. Having “unlocked” the site, the information comes easily.
My attention is directed towards a tree whose branch was growing over one of the central stones. It looks like it had its arm around the stone… in a kind of friendship gesture….friendship. Friendship…. The word reverberated in my mind like a car alarm. I am being told that the energy which this site generates is one of friendship. It is more than that though – not just friendship – KINSHIP. The linking together of two tribes through mutual respect and a desire to work together. The people who designed this site were using the stones to promote kinship. But how?
I ask the dowsing rods for another clue. I am taken from behind the stone to walk along the ever-widening ‘funnel’ of the stone row until I reach the friendly tree, where I am invited to continue looking down the row. Standing at the tree I can see that there is a distinct avenue of stones amongst this seeming jumble of megaliths. The avenue gets wider and taller until the road interrupts the row. The direction of the alignment is important, I feel, so I take a bearing.
The bearing is almost exactly due West, slightly northward by a couple of degrees. When I check that alignment later I find that the row points straight to the Ile De Groix – a large island which has lots of Neolithic structures on it, and which is just off the coast in the Gulf of Morbihan at exactly this latitude. This is the intended ‘target’ of the subtle energy. The structure is designed to send subtle energy to that island in order to promote a kinship between the inhabitants here on the mainland and their ‘cousins’ on the island. That’s my working hypothesis.
So, that is astonishing and revelatory enough, and I thought we might be done with the site. Kal came over and asked if I was finished, but something was pulling me strongly elsewhere. I look down one of the nearby paths and without thinking say “No, we’re not done here yet. Let’s go down there.”. “What’s down there?” asks Kal. “I don’t know,” I reply, “but we should go.” And so we make our way through the latest burst of rain to seek the relative shelter of the bushes and trees at the far end of the path. What next? As it turns out, it would be the most powerful experience of the entire trip!
