Of Gateways and Portals Beltane 2014 – 09

We had left the avenue of Carnac with success in our grasp. Both our quests had merged beautifully and left us with a taste of the journey worth while. However it was still early in the day (for Beltane) and since the area has sites by the dozen we decided to take in more sacredness.

How much sacred journeying can one take in a day? A lot!

We headed towards home, killing two birds with one stone, and aimed for a site called ‘Kerzerho’ about half way. What I love about Brittany is that the sacred places are almost all access level 5 and often have a car parking place nearby. The sacred place we stopped at was no exception. We parked the car and right next to it were some huge megaliths.

I dowsed whether there was anything I could do for this place. The answer was no and so I followed up with whether I could learn anything from this sacred place. To which the answer was a really strong Yes. I was elated!

I explored the energies of the site and found them to be strong. Finding the Genius Loci I spent some time making my presence felt and becoming comfortable with the place. Now it was time to learn and explore proper. I asked whether I was in a fit energetic state to proceed (i.e. did I need to prepare) The answer came back that I was already prepped. Excellent. Well then, take me to a place where I can learn…

There is a road that ploughs straight through the middle of the site so that a fair few megaliths are on the other side from the main lot. As the rods took me across the road I felt the spots of rain increase in frequency. Oh dear! As I energetically explored this part of the site I noted that Gwas too had felt a call to cross the road.

“There is a portal here,” Gwas called and I confirmed its existence. We both tried to dowse the correct way to approach and enter it. But to our surprise the rods bounced us of the entrance. That was unusual (or indeed unique) I had never encountered a closed portal before.

Could we open it, I asked and the answer was Yes. But, was it wise to do so? Would there be any negative implications to us, the site, the visitors to the site, holistically? No. Okay, I thought, let’s crack this baby open!

It seems to me that the lock was a kind of combination lock. I had to go to 3 separate places in a particular order. At each of these places I had to visualise the tumblers of a lock clicking into place. I am sure that isn’t what energetically happened but we need a mental vision to grasp the energetic reality. I dowsed for each of the locks and opened them in turn. When I had done 3 the dowsing rods confirmed that the portal was now open.

I dowsed for an approach and path through the portal and stepped through. Nothing. I was surprised because normally I expected to feel the walk through tissue paper feeling. But this time it didn’t happen. Oh well, I thought, something new.

Rather disappointed I went back across the road to the main part of the site. Both Gwas and I felt that something had definitely shifted and instead of getting in the car and setting off, we felt the urge to explore.

Male and Female – Separate but Connected

There was a path leading off from the stones and we initially thought that it was just a walk around some nearby fields. However that is where we felt that we should go so we stepped onto the path and only a fifty or so metres away were a couple of stones. One of which was the biggest we had seen so far.

Excited by this find we took some time trying to figure out the energies of the place. It seemed that the pair were connected but separate too. One stone (pictured) was deeply male energy oriented. The other was female. They seemed a perfect complement to each other. However what we found was that this complement was bridged when they were used together. A curious find indeed and even more so in that we didn’t feel the need to explore what they were used for, how to use them or the inclination to use them. Odd indeed!

The path that we followed did not end at these behemoths however, more magically realms were in store…
