I am convinced without a shadow of a doubt that Brittany is a land of the Fay. Although I don’t get the sense that they are the same as what one might find in Ireland (I wonder if Fay have country divisions?)
As I walked deeper into the woods (Gwas had vanished on some quest of his own) I came across another grove. The fact that I came across it meant that it was by visibility open. Dowsing confirmed this and this time I was taking no chances. I asked all the appropriate questions and found that it was safe in all ways that I could detect.
There was only one problem. The grove was on the other side of a stream and as far as I could see there was no imminent way to cross it. Would it be to my advantage to do so? Yes, very much so. What to do? I walked along the edge of the stream and found the best place to leap across. It was still a very unnerving task. There was a slight out cropped rock on my side and what looked like a moss-covered (guaranteed to slip) rock on the side. The gap between the two left a lot to be desired too.
In my experience, rivers, waterfalls and streams where my Kryptonite. I always fell in. I could almost hear the Sidhe whispering….Come and visit us, we have a great gift for you… I know, sounds too inviting, right? But recall that I had triple checked my safety lines.
With Gwas no where in sight, I took out all my valuables from my various pockets and stowed them under a tree root. Better to be safe than wet. Then, with a huge amount of trepidation mixed with a goodly slice of courage I leapt across the water and…made it!
Euphoria hit me in a wave! Yeah! I picked up the rods, which I had thrown across, and walked into the welcoming grove. Since all my experience with Fay has been about exchange, I asked what they would like as a gift?
You have already given it to us. The courage you showed in leaping across and the faith you have in us comes from the heart. So we give you a gift of a Golden Key of the Heart.
What? What key? Was this another invisible – believe you have it – item? Even as I thought this they (I know, but it was a they) said Put your hand on your heart. I figured this was going to be some kind of pledge type thing so I did…
I was wearing a shirt that had a pocket right over my heart. As I placed my hand on my pocket I felt something in it. Reaching in, I had to laugh, inside my pocket was the key card to my hotel room. “I get it” I thought, “Key and Heart” very symbolic. I made to shove the card back in my pocket when it stuck on something. There was something else in my pocket. I drew it out in complete awe.
Along with the key card, my heart pocket held the golden coin I had purchased the day before. Forgotten about entirely, it had found its way to my shirt pocket. I stared at it for a long time. A key, a golden coin and a heart. How impossible is that?
Of course the Golden Coin was the golden key to the heart. But what an amazing synchronicity. I dowsed whether the coin had been imbued with some kind of power? Yes. What that was I don’t know as I could not get a yes to any questions that I asked.
But one more astonishing thing has to be revealed. Over the years we have come up with a scale for measurement purposes. On occasion we have asked what some energy level is based on a 1 to 10 scale. On a handful of occasions something has topped this scale and gone over. In my experience I have never measured anything over a 13 and in most instances it gives results between 3 and 7.
So, on impulse, I asked for the energetic level of this Golden Key. I was utterly astonished and had to triple check my answer. On a scale of 1 – 10 this item registered at a 17! Both Gwas and I have never come close to measuring a power item at this level. What was this key?
I thanked the Fay of this awesome grove (no pics I am afraid, my camera was not on this side of the stream). As I made to walk away, I felt a distinct laughter. Not a malicious laugh more of a playful one. What is it I asked? You still have to jump back across the stream and there was more laughter.
Fortunately I made it back safely too. But another surprise was left. When I placed the key card and coin in my pocket I found one other item in there. It was a 10 Euro note. I was sure that this wasnt significant, but for the purpose of completion, I asked. The rods took sides against me and told me that the note was symbolically significant too. Seriously?!?
