Wood of the Fay Beltane 2014 – 17

Dont leave the path
Don’t leave the path

In previous posts I have mentioned that I have a Faery Taint. Don’t ask what it is, I don’t know. But on our trip to Brittany I have bumped into more Fay than in all my years of experience put together.  Why this is, I have yet to discover. Certainly this part of the world seems over populated with Faery Kin. Gwas and I was in a wood I have called Wood of the Fay because of our continued encounters with the Sidhe here.

I was lost. Not an unusual occurrence for me, but still somewhat unnerving since I was in a foreign land. Of course I could use the rods to find my way out and a quick check to see if they could get me out was answered with a Yes. Gandalf’s warning always rings in my ears in such situations…”Don’t leave the path!”

Oh well. Here I was, off the beaten track and chasing an energy line when I come across yet another Fay Grove (the third one today!) As before, I checked all my points for safety and traps. It was fine. Was there a specific way to enter the grove? Yes. I followed it and nearly slipped into the lake. Hmmmm a trick? No, just clumsy.

There were some lovely trees here and I felt that I could actually wander around without the need to dowse. I found a beautiful tree to lean against and instantly felt a well-chosen feeling. I smiled and lent into the aura of this magnificent beast. As I looked out onto the lake I wondered…why am I finding all these groves? An answer came to mind immediately because you have a faery taint. Yes, but what does that mean? Why have I got it? Is it a good thing to have? If not, can I get rid of it? I shot of the questions in quick succession and got no answers. Terrific!

My hands went to the Golden Key in my pocket. What could it be used for? What had it to do with my heart? Nothing came back an answer. What? But it is the key to my heart? No it isn’t. It is the key to any heart. What?!? Add a long ‘aaaaa’ to that. It is A golden key to The heart, there are many such keys, this is just one of them and it is to any heart.

I had and have no way to process that. What could it do? Again no answer. Argghhh!!! How can I find out I asked semi frustrated? If you attempt your journey through castles you will come across places that will answer that question. Oh… Is that the only place? No, but it is one of the places. Can I ask some more about that? No answer.

It is strange communing with Faery Kin, not like normal communes which I have to say are a lot easier and a lot clearer. Incense and a crystal imbued with gratitude emotion was the exchange price here. I was happy to oblige.

Before I conclude though, here is a question…Why do we get information based on our desires, purposes and needs when we visit sacred places? Why don’t we get just random knowledge? Ponder that one!

I believe that quests bring their own synchronisity. Ask and the door will be opened, Seek and you will find.
And in thin places, just as you let go of the layers of cutural normalcy in your actions – using rods, crystals and meditations so the place is able to speak to the innermost being – heart to heart as it were.
