Sidhe set a Trap Beltane 2014 – 15

Portal between the trees
Portal between the trees

I had just spent a few minutes with a Giant (see previous post) and was about ready to move on when I spotted a lady walking by. I called out a hello and she responded with a smile (and then I realised I was in France! Doh!)

I walked back towards the Tomb (of Vivienne) that Gwas was still working on. As I passed I mentioned the Giant and continued on back along the path we had come. Up on some rocks I saw the woman who had passed me earlier. I angled slightly towards her and she acknowledged my presence.

Have you seen the Faery grove over there, she pointed. I was surprised (an often occurrence it seems) by the fact she spoke in English and that she openly spoke of Faery groves. After an initial shock, I replied that I would take a look and wandered off in the direction that she had indicated. Some metres away from her, I asked the rods if there was a Fay grove here. The answer was no. I walked further still and asked again. No.

Turning to look back at the crag the girl had sat on only to find that she had gone. A thought occurred to me. Was the grove hidden? I got a no. Puzzled, I sat and thought for a bit. It made sense that you could not dowse for a hidden grove, but maybe you couldn’t dowse for the fact that it was hidden too. A conundrum!

Then inspiration hit me. Is there a portal here I asked? Yes came the answer. Excellent! Take me to the portal. It turned about to be between two trees (see pic above). I asked whether I could open it? The answer was yes.

Note though that I didn’t ask whether I should.

I opened the portal by going to three spots and turning the lock. I wonder whether it is always 3 points? Anyway once I had opened the lock and dowsed a path through the portal I asked whether there was a Fay grove in the vicinity. The answer was a Yes. Wow! I dowsed my way into the grove. It was a circular craggy formation of rocks which I had just been to a few minutes ago. I got the feeling that there were many beings in this place. A real feeling of Times Square! Unnerving really and perhaps that was what made me cautious.

I asked the rods whether there was anything for me to learn here? Oh yes, lots. Brilliant. I asked where the best place for me was. The rods took me to a nice perch to sit on. I sat down and let the inhabitants commune with me.

What would you like to know? Something (I presume Faery) asked. What can you teach me? I responded. Anything you want, we have knowledge about everything. I was impressed, after all, “Everything” is a lot! I was about to formulate a question when something stopped me. I say something with some reservation. It wasn’t my intuition nor was it anything from within the grove. That said, it was something!

I paused for a good few minutes and then my intelligence started to work…what the freak! I had forgotten to do all the protective questioning and found myself almost falling over the edge. I asked, “What do you want in exchange for this knowledge?” Nothing, came the response, we give freely.

Yes! Right, like I’ve ever got something for nothing! I think that they (bad faery?) knew I had rumbled them and as I virtually ran out of their space, they sent a message after me, close the door behind you! What an escape. I closed the door (portal) by visiting 3 points again.

This experience left me rather scared. What would they have done? Thoughts of a captured Energy Double entered my mind. Frightening. Finally my thoughts rested on the woman who had pointed out the grove. How had she seen it?
