We were at the Druids Circle and had already had two revelations (see expect the unexpected man and Rainbow, Druids Circle and Questing for a Wand ) I had just asked whether there was anything else to learn here and was greeted with a Yes. The dowsing rods took me to a stone that had two smaller stones besides it.
On a side note just as I was leaving my accommodation to come on this trip I felt the urge that I had forgotten something. Now I have not had this feeling before so I was surprised by it, but I grabbed an available set of rods and checked. Yes, I needed to take something…What? Well, it turned out to be the Golden (Faery Gift) Key and a couple of crystals.
The dowsing rods instructed that I place the two crystals on either stone to the side of me. The Golden Key, however I was instructed to place where I had found it i.e. in my shirt pocket, over my heart.
I leaned back against the stone and let my thoughts drift. Nothing was forthcoming. I wondered if I needed to be on the other side of the stone. Too lazy to check with the rods, I went to the other side and tried to connect again. Nothing. Perhaps I had missed some instruction. I grabbed the rods and asked them whether this was the place for me to commune? No. Rather annoyed, I asked a few questions as to why and finally got an answer of, the energy here is not compatible. An odd response, because they usually indicate that I am not compatible with a place. Undeterred I asked whether any other (nearby) place was. The answer was Yes and I was taken out of the Druids Circle and towards its smaller and less famous neighbour (some couple of hundred metres away).
Finding the appropriate spot, I settled into a commune state and lo and behold that wench Caileach appeared. As other posts reveal, our relationship is on a precarious footing. But I have to confess, I am a bit of a moth to a flame. She however is (and has been) unconcerned with our happenings. She looked me up and down and nodded approvingly.
- You are learning
Learning what? I asked a little petulantly
- You are learning about energy, it is taking a toll on you
I suppose, I thought.
- Learning, practicing, playing (she laughed) all take their toll. It is not like the learning of knowledge
Now that is interesting because what I have been finding is that my focus keeps drifting when I am putting together energetic truths.
- She nodded, You should know this!
I wasn’t going to take such rebuke from her. I have standards!
- She laughed, You should know that you are awakening. You need to create magical rituals to protect yourself.
Magical rituals, what like spells?
- To keep yourself gathered together. Lest you break
Yep, she actually said “lest” at least she doesn’t thee and thou.
- Magician! Everything is going according to YOUR plan. Be patient.
She slowly turned my head so that I could see the rainbow in the distance. I could see it fall into the dip between where I was stood and the hills beyond. I know it is an illusion, but I thought, wouldn’t it be great to stand under the rainbow.
- Go and do it then! Be there while you are here!
And with those words I was transported to the place where the rainbow touched the ground. It was both an exhilarating and strange notion. I was there and here. Just as an aside, this wasn’t anything like an energy double experience, that is more visceral.
- Watch the wall Caileach admonished and I did.
As I watched the, the rainbow wall faded away. I knew I had been given a lesson in patience. Watch the wall and it will disappear! Both the duality of experience and Caileach’s presence dissipated together. We were done!

post script: Gwas and I talked about our experiences and were surprised by the number of synchronicities. You will read in Gwas’s post how he had asked an Angel to inspire me which resulted in the rainbow revelations of the previous post. Further it was interesting that I could not connect with lat the circle. We speculated as to whether Michael and Cailleach energies were incompatible. But how did I know Michael was there? Of course! A coincidence! Our visit to the Druids Circle was encapsulated by rain on the way and on the way back and yet our whole time at the site, the sun was out in force! A coincidence!
