Both Gwas and I grow tired of mentioning this. There are so many things that words, pictures and tales cannot convey. One such majesty is the incomprehensibility of the weather. We had set off for the hour and half journey towards the Druids Circle. It was raining and in the distance we saw sheets of rain over our destination. Gwas as per usual remarked that we were going to get soaked. I (as per usual) responded that the sun was going to greet us. And even with all of his experience of past trips, Gwas laughed at the impossibility of it, Rain for sure.

It rained and rained all the way to Penmaenmawr and as we turned a right to start along the slow and winding road the clouds mysteriously vanished and a beautiful sun came out. Even I, who had expectations of the sun, was awed at how quickly the weather had changed. It was the setting for a fabulous experience.
As told in the previous Expect the Unexpected Man post, even on the way up to the circle valuable experience had been gained. We arrived at the circle blessing the sun as we did so. I felt that I wasn’t ready (prepared) for entering the sacred place and so went and sat between it and the sun, looking out onto the ocean. A few minutes later I heard Gwas coming up behind me and turned to see him dowsing a winding path towards me. A moment later his rods twirled right over where I was sat. “Preparation place?” I asked him and he laughed a yes. Of course I hadn’t found the spot with my rods. It was a coincidence.

I felt that I was ready to do some work and so exchanged places with Gwas. Since my initial purpose had already been thwarted I wondered what else I could learn here. I followed the energies through the site for a while. Memories of my previous (ice-dragon) visit made me shudder. How different the elements where from that time and this. I located the Genius Loci and paid my respects. As I pondered what to focus on I saw Gwas returning and setting himself up for some work too. I recalled that I had two quests pending, so I asked…
- Was there anything I could learn about my Wand Quest? Yes!
Oh! Great! I looked up from the rods and saw a beautiful rainbow appear right in front of me. It was breath-taking. I stared at it and then inspiration hit me. A flood of knowledge literally fell into my mind. The rainbow was so clearly defined. The seven colours were completely distinct. I was being told something. Seven…I mused…Seven chakras? No. Seven components that would make the wand? Almost…Seven internal components for the wand? Yes.

I rapidly confirmed this knowledge with the rods. There was more…One of the components was sand from the beach off Easter Island. Sand? I had thought that it was water. Apparently not, it was Sand. I wasn’t done. I felt there was one last piece of the puzzle to be had. And then it hit me. I described it to Gwas later as a stamp coming down and striking me into the ground. The stamp had a sense of time with it. As if I was being stamped with a sell by date. The time frame was a Solstice Year. The wand parts had to be gathered within one Solstice Year.
Wow! What a set of revelations. I turned to Gwas to inform him of these insights and saw him looking a me and laughing? I looked across at him in askance and he just smiled knowingly. Why he was smiling you will have to read his post to learn. But a major synchronicity had just occurred and there was more to come in the next post.
