Return to Mont St Michel

Return to Mont St Michel
Ancient Sites, Belief Systems, Castles and Forts, Chakras, Energy, Hills and Mounds, Ritual, Sound healing

Brittany has to be one of my favourite destinations. On this holiday we were making our way through Normandy in order to get there, and so it was an obvious point on the route to include the marvellous Mont St.Michel. Somehow I have always managed to get to the French site, but have never managed … Read More “Return to Mont St Michel” »

Tatiana the Shaman Beltane 2014 – 05

Dowsing, Energy grid, Energy work, Glyphs and Wards, Signs and Synchronicity

You know, when we look back at our sacred journeys we often find links, connections and synchronicities all over the place. In the midst of pilgrimages however they are often unseen. About half way along the avenue of stones there is a turn off that takes you out of the way a bit to a … Read More “Tatiana the Shaman Beltane 2014 – 05” »

Saving Annabel

Posted on March 3, 2014March 3, 2014 By Gwas 2 Comments on Saving Annabel
Angels, Dowsing, Energy cleansing, House Energies book

I never quite know how these things come about, but a friend of a friend of a friend of Kal’s mentioned something about their house being haunted, and next thing you know Kal’s inviting me to call them to arrange a visit.

Now I like to be prepared. Hence, there were introductory phone calls, confirmation calls, and a rough background on the likely encounter was established. Then I set about dowsing what I could about the situation. For example: How bad was it? Was it urgent? Was I about to face a wave of mutilation? I mentioned the ‘job’ to my wife, M, and she said simply “Annabel.” OK – I would keep that information in my pocket and see if it was relevant.

Pure Preparations

Over the next few days I consulted with my spirit guide to see whether I could obtain any guidance about what I might need for the work. Having been working without tools all year I was prepared for the answer, and sure enough it came back as expected: no tools were needed for this work. So, I asked if I needed any spiritual assistance. That answer was more helpful – the image of a glowing Archangel Michael kept appearing. Now, I don’t do angel cards, I don’t have angel images around the house, and I don’t go round telling people about angels. However, their interventions and appearances since visiting Iona last Autumn Equinox have been rather exciting and incredibly helpful.

I decided that although I wouldn’t use them I would still take my “sword and shield” crystal and stone. They would act as a reminder in case I needed urgent assistance. I kind of associated Michael with the Sword and Shield symbols anyway. I felt calmed and reassured by the idea that I could call upon a force that I knew to be so energetically powerful. Michael would be my trump card.

I visited a local coffee shop to wait for Kal to join me. Normally I would order a coffee, but for some reason the idea repulsed me! Instead my attention was drawn to the soft drinks area. I picked up a fruit juice, but again the feeling of repulsion kicked in. I put it back down, moving my hand towards something which didn’t have this repulsive feel. Only a bottle of pure water seemed acceptable. I sat in the coffee house with my single bottle of water feeling a little put out. I really did like my coffee, and all I could smell was coffee! I sipped my water and waited. Strange. A sort of purification, I mused.

The Fun Begins

We pulled up at a typical suburban semi-detached house which was already decorated for the up-coming Christmas festivities. It was an inviting house and a modern couple – Jenna and Harry – greeted us, telling su that they had sent the kids away for the evening to be looked after.

We sit and chat with the householders – a lovely couple. Kal decides to play sidekick letting me lead the discussions and intervening to add another perspective. We get the background.

A girl, dressed in a nightgown, long hair, face never seen, both parents have witnessed her separately. The husband has seen her in the upstairs toilet room. The wife felt her get out of her bed and then saw her walking on the landing heading to the toilet room. Both appearances were between 2am and 4am.

The couple insists that despite the time of day they were fully aware and awake at the time of the events they witnessed.

Circle of Dragons and Druids

Posted on June 14, 2013 By Gwas No Comments on Circle of Dragons and Druids
Ancient Sites, Dragons

After my experience getting to know my spirit guide at Penmaenawr‘s famous Druid’s Circle I met up once more with Kal who had been off having his own adventures, as usual. It seems that whenever we come to this sacred stone circle there are revelations, ruminations and investigations aplenty. It never fails to deliver something special.

As Kal returned I pointed out to him that I had been working at a particular stone this evening. Kal said it was one he remembered because he associated it with his experience of a dragon at this circle. In fact, he said, it was where some dragon energy resided. Now, we’ll come back to the definition of a “dragon” in a moment. Let’s stay with the story for now.

Kal mentioned that when he was doing some dowsing around this very stone after I had moved away from it earlier. He had asked the question of his dowsing rods about where the strongest energy could be found, and had been taken to the very spot I had been standing at. Now, one could read that as a very flattering statement, or one could begin to question whether something else was also contributing to that energy signature and strength.

I began to put two together with another two. I had come here to learn more about the nature of my spirit guide, and perhaps I was about to find out more than I had bargained for.

Delphi – Pan’s Tour

Posted on February 26, 2013February 26, 2013 By Gwas No Comments on Delphi – Pan’s Tour
Ancient Sites

I was only at Delphi because Kal wanted to be there. You may have read already about his Dragon’s Soul quest and the book of its lives that needed unlocking. Delphi was the place he was hoping to do that. On this quest, I as the sidekick. However, I did have a few ideas about what I might like to do here – to find Hamish Miller‘s Athena/Apollo ley line, and to meet The Oracle, or whatever remnants of that idea might remain at such an ancient site. Here, in three parts, is how I got on.

We started on the wrong foot. That seems to be the de facto starting point for quests these days. We had hired a car for our trip to Delphi and they warned us that the petrol levels might be full, half way or empty. Ours was empty, and it was late in the evening, and we had no idea where a petrol station might be. When we found one it was temporarily closed – “Ten minutes” said the man strolling leisurely about the forecourt. Yeah, ten Greek minutes….. Time passed until almost an hour later our fuel hostage ended and we were able to fill up. Good start!

The way to Delphi was not without incident either. It encompassed several wrong turnings, a near miss, and a number of difficult overtakes. I was used to a more powerful and better-handling car. We arrived alive in the depths of Friday night. All I knew was that we had climbed substantially, and that I was now very tired. Time for sleep. The next day we would have all day to see a number of sacred sites all in one hillside complex.

The Cave of Impassibility

The next morning the day dawned with a bright blue background as the sun rose. Once outside of the beautiful tourist town of Delphi we got our first glimpse of the surrounding hills in their full glory. Oh…my…word….it was stunning! The ancient Greeks couldn’t have picked a more beautiful place to site their most sacred buildings. The view down to the sea was incredible through the mountains, and the green slopes formed a perfect foil to the sheer salmon-pink cliffs that rose impossibly steep above the tree line, only to be capped with a sprinkling of snow at their summits. Amazing!

One of the reasons why I drive a four-wheel drive car is so that I can get to sacred sites. As we climbed high into the Parnassian range of mountains it rapidly became clear that February was not the ideal time to go sightseeing! The car complained about the climb, and then debated whether to grip the  un-gritted roads by the ski centres. We flinched at every corner concentrating on keeping the car in line with what we could see of the road.
After several miles we realised that we had not seen our marker points for the Corycian Cave. We were debating where it might be safe to turn around when the car made the decision for us by parking itself sideways into a pile of snow on a corner composed of sheer ice.

We turned back and found the entry point to the tiny track we had missed on the way up. There was nowhere to park that we could expect to get back out of, and the track was piled high with snow and slush. A three-mile walk to the cave did not sound inviting. Kal made me get out and dowse whether we needed to go to the cave or not. Turns out it wasn’t necessary. Was that the case before we set out or had things changed just now?

1. Before the Agora

We are led to several stones lying on the ground. We are following the same energetic trail. We began to query this situation. Kal went straight to the heart of the situation – “Were we being led by something?” YES. He thought about and tested some possibilities before hitting the right question? “Was it Pan?” YES.

I dowsed similar questions and got to the same answers as Kal by a different route. We were both being led a ‘merry dance’ around energy power centres by what can only be described as the energy form of the god Pan.

Well, as a Trickster spirit we may be in for some fun here. We’d have to be careful not to get led astray from our purpose. Oh wait! I didn’t have one. Well, I was OK then. Lead on, Pan!

Exorcising an Incubus

Posted on January 17, 2013January 23, 2013 By Gwas No Comments on Exorcising an Incubus
Dowsing, Energy cleansing, House Energies book, Other Entities

This post is a continuation of the previous post called “Poltergeist Pet“. In this second part I will be describing the investigations that Kal and I did to discover and eradicate a disturbing spirit that was plaguing three teenage girls in a quiet suburban house.

Having discovered that the energetic remnants of a pet was causing some of the more mundane disturbances, we were left with a set of reported symptoms that were much more sinister and threatening. Psychologically the symptoms sounded like the phenomenon of Sleep Paralysis, yet the rest of the reported symptoms did not match that! There was something else going on here.

Indeed, when I had remotely dowsed the house to ensure I was going into a hell hole, the one question that I was invited to answer from my checklist – the one deemed most important – was the one that asked how long it would be until the energy disturbance became life or mind-threatening. The answers was just over two weeks from the initial contact. We had to act fast! Now we were on site and prepared, so I set about investigating the second set of symptoms.

Teenage girls and poltergeist activity – a classic combination

The Feeling at the Top of the Stairs

The first patch of ‘heaviness’ was to be found at the top of the stairs, on the landing. This was where the girls had described a large proportion of the disturbance as emanating from. They were right. I could feel the energy in the air and it set my arm hairs tingling and my stomach cramping. Definitely a subtle energy spot there – the air positively bristled with it.

Still in search of the source of the sinister energy the rods began to take me on a tour of the bedrooms, turning at various key points, then leading me into the bathroom, but ending at the pillow on the bed of one of the girls. This was the end point for the energy trail – the location of the entity itself. I made a note to get Kal to check that later.

I went back to look at the heavy presence in the other girls’ shared bedroom too.

Power centres: how to find your place of power

Power centres: how to find your place of power
Energy work

It occurred to me that I have often talked of power centres in my posts without ever really defining what such things are. I will now seek to put that right. In this post I will explain what I have found power centres to be, what qualities and uses they have, and explain how you … Read More “Power centres: how to find your place of power” »
