During the same visit to the nine ladies stone circle, I was txted (I know maybe my phone should have been off!) by a friend (Trace) in need of some energetic healing. Since I am a practitioner of Reiki I felt it my priviledge to provide.
I also wondered that since I am at a energetic place could I utilise the energies here to help me? Out with the dowsing rods again – and the question was ‘show me a place where it would be beneficial to transmit healing energies from?’ I figured that if I eneded up inside the circle then I could utilise it.
As it happened the rods directed me to the previously discovered power center, which is just off center of the circle. Intuitively I brought out the bag of Quartz crystals that I seem to carry around with me a lot and placed 2 on each of the stones.
Sitting in the power center I began my standard excercise of opening my crown chakra (We should do a post on that!) and channeled the energy through and out into the palms of my hands. From there I visualised it into a ball of bright white energy and ‘tossed’ it mentally to wherever Trace was.
About 5 minutes in and completely by surprise I felt an intrusion into my ‘meditation’ – now there seemed to be energy flowing in from all the stones. It flowed into my crown and joined with the energy I was channeling which came in from the top.
‘All help gratefully received’ I thought and sent this on to my friend too. I completed the session which lasted about 20 minutes and was feeling really hot – more so than the environment would have provided.
Epilog: About two hours later Trace called me to tell me she had just had a wonderful experience of being enveloped in a Rainbow sphere of energy and was feeling much refreshed. (Placebo aside…A fantastic symbiosis of energies!)

This account has raised some eyebrows to those who I’ve told it. We’ve known for a while now about the strange effects of power centres, but this account makes that evident in a way that begins to reveal some of the interactivity that such sites can evoke, or awaken in us.
As Kal’s such a stickler for repetition as a means of validation I’m sure we’ll develop this concept further in our own ways. It feels like there’s much more to discover about the healing properties of circles.
I was particularly struck by the use of crystals. We tried this at Llandrillo (Moel-y-Uchaf) six months ago but without the same intention. I suggest we go back and re-discover that circle? I also want to try that at other sites when it feels right to do so.
