Conversation with an Exorcist Part II

Energy Entity

I was fortunate to meet up with Rab (Jewish Exorcist) for another coffee and slice of cake (our previous meeting resulted in this conversation). It’s funny how questions come around after years and get answered. Several years ago I was lucky enough to be approached by a chap during one of my talks. This worthy (Ahmed) told me that I should talk from experience rather than read material when it came to exorcism. He was an exorcist, coming from the Islamic faith and for the next couple of years he would, on occasion, invite me to an exorcism.

Alas, Hollywood has a lot to answer for when it comes to true stories from this genre. From the approximate 15 exorcism that I have attended, only 3 of them were of visible note i.e. that had some unexplainable visible phenomena.

  • I have to say that I have only once seen someone float above the ground and only twice have I experienced someone speak in what might be called tongues.

One thing that happened to me several times was becoming terrified during the exorcism process. In these observational trips I would be sitting watching the exorcism take place and would feel a rising terror. This is the strange thing. Nothing happened visibly to upset me, but my fear grew and grew until, on one occasion, I actually ran out of the room.

  • You see, with a horror film, it’s the visual and aural that is used to create an imagined terror.

But what was happening during these exorcism? Why was I terrified of what, observationally speaking, was nothing much. At that time and since I put it down to the fact that exorcism were so unnatural that it put the heebejeebies in me. It was a fair assumption to make I guess until I met up with Rab.

Emotion Explosion

During our conversation, over cream cake, the above thoughts came into discussion. Rab had experienced the same and so had several of his colleagues. As he described an occasion when a, what he called a Demon, was being exorcised from a woman, one of the exorcist cohorts went into a rage. At first they had thought that he had become possessed, but this was not the case instead the Demon had caused him to become enraged.

He related several other incidents where emotional explosions (my term) occurred in one or more of the attendees. In particular succumbing to fear. It was in the middle of this conversation that a thought occurred to me.

  • What if when a demon (or in the context of this blog, an energetic being) is being pulled out of a person it exerts the only force it has to remain in, emotion? Think about it, after all, emotion seems to be what these critters feed on. What if the blighters burst with the emotion they have been feeding on, whether it be fear, anger or rage?

We both spoke about this and came up with a rather cute theory. These beasties are emotion feeding beings. Emotion is the stuff that they deal in. What if, when one is being pulled out of a person it uses an Emotion Explosion to push the exorcist away. Rather like what Gwas and I do with an Energy Bomb?

I have to confess the theory fit in with my experiences and Rab’s extensive experiences too. When I get the chance to meet up with Ahmed I will make sure to see if his experiences are in line with this.

Thanks for your comments Lila. Dont you love it when a comment comes in that has you dashing off to google and amazon to learn more.

I have come across Tsultrim’s work before with regards to feeding our demons. When I picked it up I thought it was actually about Demons, but as I read it I got the flavour of how it can be used in healing (I was a practicing therapist at the time). Definitely an interesting take on fighting our inner demons.

I read the “Initiation into Hermetics” by good ol’ Franz a few years ago. I liked a lot of what he said, though the olde-worlde tone did grate after a while (smile).

My only concern with Franz’s work is that I have read and come across a myriad of others who have a slightly (and radically) different take on such matters. At the end of the day my advice to all and one remains.

Take what you feel in your heart is true for you and leave the rest in a pile of sundering ash

Thanks Lila, Your comment has enlivened further studies.

    Greetings,

Having just looked through your postings and found the article on Nine Stones close where we met up with you, (Phil, Jo and Sam) Just wondered if you found the Five Wells burial chamber ok? It’s another of those hidden gems in Derbyshire that are missed by most people.
    Lovely site, thanks for sharing.

      Hi Phil,

So you found us online at last! Great. It was a pleasure meeting you that day. If we meet again I’m sure we’ll have even more to talk about.
Yes, we found Five Wells. There’s a post about it in the blog too, and then I re-visited it again shortly afterwards.

      LINK : Five Wells

It was a fascinating chamber, and one which draws me towards it every time I am in the area. I drove past it only last week and even though I was heading elsewhere on a deadline I was nearly pulled to the chamber to visit again. In fact, I’m now regretting that I didn’t heed the call, but sometimes rationality overcomes the intuitive side.

What were your feelings about the site?
      Gwas.

Kal, thank you for the articles – incredibly interesting! There was something similar to your theory mentioned in Bardon’s book on elementals, he called those particular energy beings ‘larvae feeders’ [emotion feeders] – each specialising in particular type of emotion. I’d read that work on Hermetic practice yonks ago, but that particular info seemed to have stuck in my mind.

Although your article arrived to my email box just when I’ve started to delve into a book called ‘Feed Your Demons’ by Tsultrim Allione, which is based on ancient Tibetan ritual of Chöd – demon feeding ritual used for healing/spiritual advancement – synchronicities eh?
