All things are possible

Signs and Synchronicity, Spirit Guides

I don’t usually bring aspects of my mundane life into this blog. I like to keep these things separate, because I don’t want to spoil the rich and fertile magickal world we have created by the stories that we have created here in this space. However, at the moment, there are things going on in my life which could mean a great change to the way that I spend my time soon. I have also begun to notice that there is an increasing “overspill” between my normal life and the magickal world. They are beginning to inter-twine, like catching one’s foot in a bramble on what you thought was a clear path. Here is an example of that.

I am sitting at home in my study, probably typing out a story like this one. I hear a sound like several pots and pans that were stacked up being knocked over. The clatter is unmistakeable, yet incongruous because it is outside my window, at the front of the house. What would pans be doing outside, and being knocked over? We live in a very quiet neighbourhood where the only likely disturbance is from cats passing through. That’s what it must be, I think to myself – a cat has knocked something over outside. I can’t see what it is because it’s dark, but I go straight to the window anyway. No movement. No cat. No pans. No other noise.

Then my rational brain offers further suggestions. If there’s nothing outside then it must have been inside. The commotion was probably our cat seeing off one of the neighbourhood cats. [The cat flap is locked at night]. I must have forgotten to lock it [I hadn’t] and when I get down in the morning there will probably be something knocked over which accounts for the noise.

In the morning I gingerly open the front room door. Everything is at peace. Nothing has moved. There is no sign of a disturbance. Nothing is out of place. I double check. Nothing. I will look outside when I got out in a minute. After breakfast I leave the house, having almost forgotten the incident. Outside the morning light shines off the dull brickwork paving blocks, but there is something different. A small pink something.

I bend down to pick it up. It’s a smooth rose quartz crystal. It’s wet from the morning dew, and it has a few bits of plant debris stuck to it. It’s been there overnight, definitely. This is not something that has arrived this morning. Nor is it something that I could have missed the evening before. I had been out in the garden watering the plants, and there was no way I walked past it three or four times without noticing it. It was right in the way of where it’s impossible to pass without stepping over it.

As I look closer at it I recognise it – it’s one of  the crystals that I have in my store of crystals which I keep in a deep container in my back room. The crystal is too large to be easily transported. I ask several people about it – no-one knows anything about it. It’s not Kal’s. No-one I know has been in the house in the last day. I’m stumped!

So I commune with Ash, my spirit guide. OK, I bargain, if you’ve created this example of an apport, then I would like to know why. I can’t dowse for why, so you’re going to have to tell me. I ask him straight, He replies:

“I moved the quartz crystal so that you would know that all things are possible.”

I am about to have a strong word with him about telling me what is and isn’t possible in my life when I pull myself up short, and sit in amazement. That’s not his phrase. It’s mine! I used it to Magic Mike when we were discussing the whole concept of apports. Mike has experienced many such sudden transportations and appearances. To him they were the final proof he needed to know that his magical path was true. I had said something similar at the time, along the lines of

“I won’t really believe all this stuff unless I get an apport too. Something direct and physical. Then and only then will I know that all things are possible.”

In my life I am considering whether to make a giant leap into the unknown. I may have this chance soon, and am beginning to work my way towards that. Yet, still, there is the nagging doubt – will this work, can it work, will I get the support I need, can one survive in the modern world by using esoteric knowledge – is this possible?

Here it was. My apport. Why was it created for me? To show me that all things are possible. On we go!

    Gwas,

One might turn down certain quests, but will the universe let you?

Thanks everyone for your encouraging words. Pace is gathering on the life changes, so I expect to be able to reveal all soon.

@Ellie: understand what you’re saying, but it takes a certain amount of courage to integrate your mundane and magickal worlds – courage I have been lacking. But it looks like life is abotu to give me the nudge I need. Stay tuned!

@Jayne: Welcome. There’s a lot to catch up on! I hope we can inform your journey as we travel. We always like to hear your stories too. Try the Hedge Druids United Facebook page for a space to add your own content.

Hi, I have been following you and Kals blogs for a couple of years and your magical abilities amaze and inspire me so this is by no means a critisism.
I have to say that the beginning of your blog surprised me more than the content, because as a white witch I have found that it was not only possible but essential to totally blend the magical and mundane sides of my life to make me a whole and complete person I am sure if you let it happen you would find it rewarding.

Hi, I’m new to your blog. But I’ve just read this one & am replying to ‘wish you lots of luck as well as a sprinkle of Awen for your new venture’. I too am trying to decide a similar thing in my life journey. I will carry on reading your posts to see what happens next for you. /|\
